Owner description: Andrew Peller was one of the founding fathers of Ontario wine; today his namesake winery remains a family-owned enterprise - focused around the grand winery, showpiece barrel cellar and gracious Peller Estates Winery Restaurant (helmed by Chef Jason Parsons). Food and wine pairing themes are mainstays in the chock-full seminar and event calendar. Peller Estates' full range of Private Reserve whites, reds and sweet wines by Winemaker Katie Dickieson are always rich and approachable, while the Signature Series features age-worthy reds, award-winning Icewines and the unique Ice Cuvee sparkling wines, sweetened with a touch of Icewine. Experience wine country at the ultimate wine and food lover’s playground with tours and seminars throughout the day, including Niagara’s only igloo-like lounge where you’ll don a Peller Estates parka and taste Icewine at -10C. Partake in a barrel cellar dinner, fine dining in the Winery Restaurant with Executive Chef Jason Parsons, or casual dining on the patio’s Barrel House Grill. Party in the Vineyard at the annual food truck event in spring and country music festival in summer.

We had wine tasting coupons from our hotel, and had the best knowledgeable young man we had come across during our own wine tours that day. We could try any three wines, and he was able to tell us so much about each selection. Majority of wines can not be found in the LCBO, and once we tasted them we could tell why. They were all fabulous! Bought a icewine and a $40 select cab that we were told to let it age as long as we could, up to 5 years, and then decant it for an hour. Wouldn't have know to do that if it wasn't for this young man.

If you have a chance top visit Niagara on the Lake Canada, take time to have dinner in the dining room of the Peller Winery. Wonderful food and wine pairings await.

The Peller Estates Winery site seems a "little over the top" but tour guide Ben was the absolute best. He combined his knowledge and quick wit (without being corny) to offer our small group tour the best experience. We learned so much in a fun way. A great deal at $10 (which included 3 wine tastings).

Luxury surrounds you, lush green vineyards fill the scenery and gourmet food luxuriates across your palate. Little things make all the difference at Peller restaurant like icewine butter to spread on your house-made rolls. You can have a full meal but I love to go often so I have my favourite Sauvignon Blanc and the charcuterie platter to share. It's the perfect girl's night out!

The main building at Peller Estates sits grandly at the end of the long entrance drive through the vineyards. Heavy stone construction gives way to warm, rich woodwork in the lobby, providing a very welcoming ambience. The restaurant serves an excellent meal if you have the chance to dine here. The retail store makes a great place to sample and buy their wines and the staff is very friendly. Although Peller is one of the larger wineries in the vicinity their service levels are very personal and friendly. It's a definite pick if you're designing a pleasant afternoon of hopping from winery to winery to sample the wines of the Niagara region.
