Owner description: Andrew Peller was one of the founding fathers of Ontario wine; today his namesake winery remains a family-owned enterprise - focused around the grand winery, showpiece barrel cellar and gracious Peller Estates Winery Restaurant (helmed by Chef Jason Parsons). Food and wine pairing themes are mainstays in the chock-full seminar and event calendar. Peller Estates' full range of Private Reserve whites, reds and sweet wines by Winemaker Katie Dickieson are always rich and approachable, while the Signature Series features age-worthy reds, award-winning Icewines and the unique Ice Cuvee sparkling wines, sweetened with a touch of Icewine. Experience wine country at the ultimate wine and food lover’s playground with tours and seminars throughout the day, including Niagara’s only igloo-like lounge where you’ll don a Peller Estates parka and taste Icewine at -10C. Partake in a barrel cellar dinner, fine dining in the Winery Restaurant with Executive Chef Jason Parsons, or casual dining on the patio’s Barrel House Grill. Party in the Vineyard at the annual food truck event in spring and country music festival in summer.

This winery may have beautiful grounds and a beautiful building, but it stops there. It's busy and you feel like a number. The staff makes you feel like a job and nothing else. The tasting experience isn't fun or enjoyable. You can stop to check the grounds out, but I wouldn't do anything else here!!

“5 course tasting dinner”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

AMAZING!! Well worth the $$$. Staff are friendly, attentive and well informed about the wine and food pairings. Chef Jason Parsons crafts a meal that you will never forget. We were fortunate enough to meet him and talk about his inspiration for our meal, wow!

“Wine tasting visit”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

We had free wine tasting passes from our hotel. That gave 3 glasses of press-selected wines, which were very good. $3 each or 3 for $7 is the normal price. It was enjoyable. The staff is pleasant although some of the pourers seemed disinterested in serving customers. Picturesque grounds and an outdoor patio made for a nice experience.

“Nice little place for a Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

Nice little place for a Sunday Lunch - however it is rather pricey - we had their Sparking Sunday Brunch. It was really delicious - however you have to note the European style portions - quality over quantity!! Just let your server know your dietary restrictions/allergies as they don't check (esp. if they're serving you oysters as amuse bouche - that you didn't specifically order)
