I was unable to write this review until now, even though we stayed at Bruce Manor in late August, 2012. Although it’s long overdue, I didn’t want to miss the chance to write something in time for the upcoming season. My husband and I found this to be the perfect Bed and Breakfast in every aspect. Our host and hostess were wonderfully friendly, and very helpful regarding things to do in Niagara-on-the-Lake. They were also incredibly accommodating regarding our special diet, and went to great effort to make sure that we had enough to eat for breakfast. The breakfasts were amazing, with an impressive presentation. The location of the house was also very good; a nice 15-20 minute walk or a short drive into town, where we were able to park in a large lot. There is also a walking/bike trail right next to the house. The house is beautiful, with three guest rooms. We stayed in the Rattan room, which was very reasonably priced. It has a nice bedroom, a large bathroom, and a sitting room overlooking a swimming pool and beautiful gardens. There is a balcony overlooking the pool as well, which provides a private entrance to the room. There are a refrigerator and sink, a coffee maker, a table and chairs at the window if you want to eat in, and lots of good movie videos that you can watch while sitting on the loveseat. We loved our 3 day vacation at Bruce Manor, have made sure to tell our friends about it, and will definitely stay here on our next visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bruce manor for a wedding. The room was very large and very comfortable. The decor was a bit dated in the rattan room, but it was very fitting for the style of the house, and I definitely didn't find that it took away from my stay (so don't take that as a complaint)

The host was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious. The host is a good cook and definitely took pride in our meals.

The price was very reasonable as well considering the location. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends. I had a very pleasant stay.

My husband and I travel to NOTL often, but this time with our daughter's family that included her, her husband and two small children. Hosts Sanath and Nandanee accomodated us by greeting us late in the evening after our long trip from the Pittsburgh area. They at once made us feel welcomed. We had secured two large rooms which were joined by an outside balcony that overlooked the solar heated pool and beautiful garden. We could reach the outdoors via a spiral staircase off the balcony. Our sumptuous breakfasts included fruit, yogurt, eggs/omelets, meat and breads...a choice of coffees, teas and juice, as well. Sanath went the extra "mile" by preparing special needs of our slightly picky 2 year-old. This homey bed and breakfast has 3 well-equiped rooms just a little way from the center of town. It offers all the amenities one would expect for a delightful stay while site seeing, visiting wineries or going to theatre.

Room Tip: Two of the three room have balconies that lead to the garden and pool.

Perfect..... Host was gracious, accomodating, and very friendly. We got great directions, and hints about wineries. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Pool was refreshing after a long day exploring wineries. Room (Rattan room) was comfortable, spacious, and included a balcony out a rear door with a spiral staircase down to the pool. Birch room, at the front of the house, included a cute balconey for one to enjoy morning coffee or tea. Bikes were made available for riding to nearby wineries or into town. Highly recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: Rattan room has a tiny kitchen area. All rooms included a refrigerator, coffee maker, tea pot.

By far the number one b&b in niagara on the lake. We have stayed at eight others over the last five years and this one has been the best so far. Great hosts great food and great hospitality. Wish sanath and nandenee all the best!

We returned to this wonderful B&B again this year and we felt like we had 'come home.' The gracious hospitality, fabulous breakfasts, relaxing atmosphere, and spacious accommodation (complete with balconies) made this the perfect place to relax and visit with our daughter. We walked to dinner, plays and relaxed around the pool. We will return!

My husband and I stayed two nights over the Victoria day weekend, with another couple. We had the "Rattan" room, and our friends the "Cherry" room. Sanath and his wife were very gracious hosts!

There were a lot of positives to this B&B!
- clean and spacious rooms with separate entrances off the back balcony, and ensuite bathrooms
- beautiful property, backs on to green space
- great location, with only 15 minutes to walk downtown, next to the Bruce Trail
- free wifi
- room was stocked with tea bags, coffee (and kettle and coffee maker), including milk/cream...and a refrigerator and corkscrew!
- you can use the bikes and BBQ for no charge. We picked up groceries at the Valu-mart in town and bbq'd dinner on our 2nd night since it was crazy busy at the restaurants on Saturday of the long weekend.
- full breakfast, with fruits or yogurt, warm muffins, and a main dish (ours was eggs both mornings). Some variety with the main dish would have been nice for us, but can't complain much when you don't have to make breakfast!

The Rattan room was very large with a small seating area, which was great for us, traveling with friends, we could play cards in the evening on the table in our room. Our friends' room seems like it had some updates to modernize the decor. The Rattan was still outdated, and could use some paint, new lamps, and decor enhancements with paintings etc. I'm sure the owners will get to this at some point, perhaps next winter!

We would definitely stay here again, especially for the reasonable price in the area.
