A group of us spent a Sunday afternoon with Grape Escape on the biking wine and cheese tour. We biked to 4 vineyards and we were provided cheese with our wine tasting at one. We also had a guided tour of one of the vineyards, well done - interesting facts provided.
The level of 'expertise' for biking ability was relatively low: easy biking! Smooth, flat surface and bikes available for all levels of bikers. Bikes were in good shape, helmets were also provided (also in good, clean shape), and our bikes were loaded with water bottles for us at the start. They even offered switching to a van on the day of if the weather turned for the worst. Very accommodating!
Any wine we purchased was picked-up by Grape Escape and brought to the start/end point where our cars were parked, so we didn't have to bike with it.
We had a few members of our group stuck in traffic and arrived a bit late. Grape Escape was very helpful with waiting for them, then biking them to join the rest of the group.
We were celebrating my birthday and Grape Escape gave me a little bag with a t-shirt and goodies, so nice of them!
They made booking and arrangements hassle-free and took care of all the details.
For $60.00/person this was an excellent way to spend an afternoon, learn about the wine making process, sample some wine, and even get a bit of exercise! Definitely recommend this tour and Grape Escape!
