While in Niagara for a three day vacation, my partner and I visited the Drawing Room (so aptly named) for high tea and what an experience it was! From the service, to the food to the ambiance, we had a great and relaxing time. The surroundings are royal and one really feels like royalty while visiting with the very attentive servers. They are all dressed in this period tea room uniform that looks stunning and just completes the experience! We left stuffed and to top it all off, we were surprised to learn of a 2-4-1 promtion that they had running and that took advantage.

I went here for afternoon tea, knowing full well how expensive it is. You are paying for the experience of afternoon tea.

The food was fine and had a variety of items, some of which was tastier than others. The variety should satisfty most people. The tea came with a full pot of tea (large size) and was quite good. The desserts that came with the tea were also very good.

As we were there early afternoon, we were able to have a leasurely tea without any pressure to leave or hurry to eat.

The overall decor was nice and pleasant and the service was acceptable. The china and silver was a bit old and wear was showing, but is was acceptable; although, for the price I would have expected something a bit better.

The menu included a nice history of the "afternoon tea" which was interesting to read.

This is a nice one-time experience just to say you have had afternoon tea.

Went for Afternoon Tea. Service and Tea were very good. Two of us could not finish and ended up packing some of the sweets for home. Very good value, and excellent service provided by Jodi.

Upon arriving at the Drawing Room and Prince of Wales, you step into a world of charm. Quaint, adorable, and historic--the place feels welcoming and inviting. But the atmosphere only takes one so far.

We went for an afternoon of high tea and had been looking forward to the occasion for several months. A great tea experience is one of our favorite outings. But we were disappointed.

Once we were seated, we waited for several minutes for our server to greet us. Five minutes passed. Then ten. At fifteen minutes we asked ourselves how much longer we were going to wait, but then the server introduced herself. She was withdrawn and seemed scared of her own shadow. She had few recommendations and did not seem to care whether we were there or not. Our placement within the room was also disappointing, tucked into a corner by a fire door despite the fact other tables in the solarium were available. We were declined in our request to move.

At $32 for traditional tea, the place is pricey. You are served tea, sandwiches, and desserts but nothing wowed us. They were decent but not "delicious." For a pair of us, the bill came to $75 and I'm not sure a cup of tea and some finger food is worth $75. We needed some background music---a harp, a violin, even some soft CD music---but there's nothing there to help aid the mood of the place.

Would we go again? No. Too expensive and not worth the experience. But are we glad we checked it out? Sure. If for no other reason than the Price of Wales was on our to-do list. But if we hadn't gone, we wouldn't have exactly missed out, either.

Came here on a whim while celebrating my Mother's birthday and very glad we did. We had a blast in such a beautiful and elegant room. Great memories with tons of food (didn't realise that so much food would be given after we had lunch next door)! Our server Lisa was sweet and a so attentive. We will be back.
