Queen's Landing
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Queen’s Landing in the town of Niagara on the Lake was chosen as the conference location by and executive committee, but they could not have chosen anything more elegant.

This Vintage Hotel has the look of days gone by but is anything but out of date, the rooms are spacious, modern and luxurious. The front desk staff was most welcoming, the housekeeping staff pleasant and accommodating, but for a special treat try the Tiara Dining Room; most tables were for two and face the waterfront, the wait staff must be highly scrutinized when hired as everyone has impeccable appearances and manners. The menu was exceptional, the presentation of the food fabulous, everything tasted wonderful – and if you are having a birthday – you get to have a tiara placed upon your head.

We had a conference at Queen's Landing Hotel and it was excellent. The service provided by so many (I know I missed alot of names but, Peggy Cernick, Paul and Eugene were excellent!). They were always on hand to provide extra help and service when needed and always happy to do so. They went beyond what was required of them. The friendly and quick service is always a pleasure to deal with. The food was excellent! Will return definitely for a conference!

Had the pleasure of staying at Queen's Landing with a room that overlooked the water. This Georgian Style hotel is perfect because it is far enough away from the bustle, but close enough to walk to all the attractions. I found the service here to be exceptional. I checked-in at 4PM and was wandering as I explored the grounds. The greeter at the Tiara (restaurant) asked me if she could help...soon I had a free cup of coffee in my hands! Dinner at Tiara was top notch, with our server Rudy. He was very well versed on the food and wine selections, plus he had an excellent sense of humor that delighted my wife and I.
Our room was clean and reasonable in size, a good mix of authentic ambiance with modern amenities like jetted tub. Wife gives the in-room Kerig (sp?)coffee makers 2 thumbs up. In all the price was right and they treated us very well. Can't do better than that!

My husband and I got married at the queens landing last weekend Saturday September the 14th 2013. The vintage hotels made our fairy tale a reality. Each and every staff member went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Colleen Bailey is one of the most professional and lovely people we have ever met. We know she played a major role in making our wedding day so magical! Joshua who was our waiter for the head table was absolutely wonderful and all of guests commented on how attentive and friendly the wait staff were. A very special thank you to Marc and his kitchen team who created such an amazing and delicious meal. From the cocktail hour to the meal and the late night and sweet table it was perfection. Everyone of our guests were so content with the quality and taste of the food. Our meal looked and tasted just like we were at a restaurant....it was definitely not your typical wedding food. Our guests kept commenting on how elegant and classy the venue was. The grand georgian ballroom was breathtaking! Thank you to the vintage hotels and the staff for making our wedding day so memorable. Perfection and elegance at it's finest!!!

A very comfortable base from which to partake in several activities like biking, theatre, dining, and wine tours. I wish , however, we had a heads-up to renovations of the pool and fitness area, an important amenity to us, when we booked. It seemed to be an odd time to do this since it was summer.

We recently stayed for four nights at the Queens Landing. It is a lovely hotel with fine restaurants (albeit expensive). We had a package that provided a bottle of wine and chocolate-covered strawberries each night. My only complaint was the lack of hot water in the shower in room 393. The hot water lasted about 5 minutes before the cold replaced it. The first time I complained they could not switch us to another room as they were fully booked. They did fix that problem after the second time it happened and took $50. off the bill. For theatre goers the Prince of Wales (another Vintage hotel) is closer to the Festival theater and the shopping area. We ate there once and the hotel seemed more lively than the Queens Landing.

Dear valued guest - thank you for your feedback following your recent stay with us. I wanted to thank you for bringing to our attention on site the limited hot water in your room. We are sorry that we did not have another guestroom to accomodate you in on that evening. I wanted to let you know that our engineering department has looked into this problem and it has been fixed.

We stayed at Queens Landing for three nights in September. It is very near Fort George and a block from the main drag in Niagara on the Lake. Its location is perfect - far enough away that its quiet, yet close enough to walk to all the main shops and restaurants.

The hotel itself is immaculately clean. We had a traditional room which was quite large. The hotel offers turn down service every night, although I thought that it came a bit early (5:30 every night) as we were still in our room getting ready for dinner.

We ate at the Bacchus Lounge twice and the Tiara Restaurant once for breakfast. If you eat at either of these for dinner you must have the peanut butter brownie tower for dessert. The only complaint I would have is that there was an abundance of fruit flies in Bacchus at dinner but there's not much to be done about that - fruit flies were also at most of the wineries as well.

Overall a great stay and I would definitely stay again if we go back to Niagara on the Lake.

Dear valued guest - I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience here at Queen's Landing. We appreciate all your valuable feedback and it sounds like you had a lovely time. We agree that we have a perfect location in our town - close to everything you could want but also quiet and secluded for guest's privacy.

Thank you also for noting the cleanliness of the hotel and your room. I will be sure you pass this along to our Executive Housekeeper. And I have to agree that the peanut butter tower is a hotel favourite!

We hope that you can come and visit us again soon!
