We spend the weekend of June 1, 2 attending a wedding where the the reception was held at Queens Landing. The wedding room rate was reasonable so we elected to stay at the hotel and avoid the need to drive anywhere following the reception. The location was great in that it's easy walking distance to the downtown with it's excellent shops and restaurants. The bonus was also an even easier walk to the church where the wedding was held.
The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and especially vibrant in June. The service was excellent with a very friendly capable staff at reception and in the bar and restaurant. The rooms were well appointed but are beginning to show a little ware. There had obviously been a leak in the ceiling which had never been properly repaired.
The one thing that keeps bugging me about this and other higher end hotels is that I can get free WiFi in a $59/night motel. Here they wanted $10 a day. Better than some, I admit, the Hilton (Paddington) in London UK wanted to charge $25 above the $487/night rate.
All in all, I nice experience but I think I would search around for another hotel or B & B on returning to Niagara On The Lake. One with free WiFi or close to a Starbucks.More
