I was at the Prince Of Wales earlier this week with my 87 year old grandmother as a belated birthday gift. We had comfy wing back chairs and our server was Lisa. It was so nice to relax, and enjoy a traditional tea but what made it even better was our server. My grandmother was excited to go out and Lisa doted over her, making her day even more special. The tea room was packed, but our server never made us feel as though she was in no rush, stood and listened to my Nana and was extremely gracious. Although we live in Niagara, it was my Nana's first tea visit and she was amazed at the level of service and warmth throughout the afternoon. Lisa was so knowledgable about the hotel, the history and the region. She did everything to enhance our experience and make it so memorable. Go for tea at the Prince of Wales, and enjoy the experience!

Love the Prince of Wales and have stayed there many, many times over the years.

We recently sailed into the Niagara on the Lake Sailing Club and for a treat Itook my new bride there for a Sunday brunch. Telling her it was one of the best I had experienced.

Unfortunately the brunch was far, far below what I had come to expect. The food had been prepared well in advance and it showed.

The highlight of our visit was our server, JoAnn. A more helpful and attentive waitress, you could not find. She was a delight and made a hum-drum meal into a lovely experience on a rainy day.

I was really pleased with my recent stay in the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara on the Lake in Ontario. The place just buzzed with authentic 19th century charm. Our guest room, which faced the main street in Niagara on the Lake, was spacious, well appointed and very clean. The bathroom, which appeared to have been recently re-done, was likewise sizeable, with some very nice finishes. The bed was a four poster, which you don't see too often. The Prince of Wales is very well located for tourists, as it is right in the heart of the shopping and theater districts of Niagara on the Lake. The staff was professional and attentive, and quite friendly. My personal favorite spot in the hotel was their bar, which is wood paneled from floor to ceiling and gives off an English gentlemen's club vibe. The Prince of Wales is also a tourist attraction in and of itself, and if you hang out in the lobby you'll see a variety of vacationers wandering in just to see what the place is like. This tells you something: you want to stay where others come in just for a little visit.

The Prince of Wales is honestly the best hotel I've ever been to, the staff is incredibly helpful and the rooms are so dreamy! Their customer service it is definitively their number 1 priority and it shows on the way you are treated from when you walk in. If you want to get married and are looking for something different this is it, their ballrooms are amazing and the food is the best! They will make your wedding one of a kind, and anything you want they'll do their best to make it happen! I am so happy we got married here, this place will be forever in our hearts! :)

Room Tip: Honestly any room would be perfect here!

We've been visiting NOTL each fall and staying at Vintages properties for the past 6 years or so. We've enjoyed each of the hotels for their unique offerings, but must admit that the Prince of Wales is our favourite. The staff are terrific and make you feel very much at home, the grounds in and around the hotel are stunning, and it is just a wonderful place to unwind and watch the world go by - with some wine, of course!

The Prince of Wales is our choice hotel in one of our favorite local destinations. Our recent stay was aided by a happy and helpful staff. Our room was upgraded from a standard king to a deluxe king suite that exited directly onto the Main Street and all the beautiful flowers and landscaping. A few hints for a most enjoyable stay;
1) Book and prepay well in advance. We have been shut out in the past by waiting too long to make a reservation. By paying in advance, we got a substantial discount.
2) Consider booking a package that includes either breakfast, dinner or both. We got a $50-60 value ( including HST) for a $34 add on for a substantial breakfast that was wonderful.
3) Kindly request both Internet access and free (comped) parking at the front desk when you check in. We were afforded both simply by making the request.

Of course being a return guest helps with the above. But once you've been to Niagara-on-the-Lake, I'm sure you to will become a repeat customer too.

It was a beautiful ride from Niagara Falls to this quaint Village using the Scenic Parkway!
The Hotel was lovely although we were surprised the the south wing had no elevator. So carrying luggage is a bit too much work!
Our room was small but adequate, view of the parking lot was a disappointment! Linens were very nice and turn-down service with a rose left on the pillow was a nice "touch."
Business/computer room was adequate and charges for fax was reasonable but print should be free don't you think?
Churchill Pub was very nice and allowed us to unwind at night with an Irish Coffee! Restaurant was pleasant, breakfast package was a good addition to our reservation. Service a bit inconsistent during the breakfast hours. Some mornings the wait staff was more attentive than other days. Not very prompt with coffee refills that is for sure!
All in all this was a delightful stay and far better for us than staying at Niagara Falls where there are so many tourists!
