Everything about our stay was top notch. The rooms are very comfortable and very elegant. The host treats you like an old friend and is very attentive to your needs. The breakfast was spectacular and abundant. This was our third stay and we have never been disappointed.

My husband and I; along with another couple spent an evening at Ranger's Retreat this past week. I must say this is the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in! The owner was so accommodating, and the house is charming and lovely! Our breakfast was amazing....20 varieties of cheese from all over the world, a selection of 12+ fresh baked breads and pastries, fresh fruits, chutneys, and the list goes on!!! Ranger's Retreat gets a 5+star ranking, and I cannot wait to visit again.

Room Tip: all rooms were lovely and all were unique in their own way............it was hard to select! two ha...

We had a most enjoyable stay of 2 nights in Mrs Butlers Chamber. The house, garden and pool are beautiful. Great care has been taken with all the furnishings and everything thought of. The linens are sumptuous, bed very comfortable and rooms quiet,
The breakfasts were amazing. From the home made preserves, chutney, fresh fruits, huge range of cheeses and breads to the eggs Benedict.
Brian is a great host and chef. He helped with suggestions of the local area and made us welcome.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Room Tip: Choose any one of these rooms and you won't be disappointed!

The Ranger's Retreat offered a perfect mix for convenience and charm for our recent biking trip to NOTL. My son and I stayed in the Twins (comfortable twin beds, nice modern en-suite bathroom, balcony, quiet air conditioner) and I recommend it highly as a stop of at least a couple of nights if you are cycling through the area.
Our stay felt luxurious yet relaxed - a new home with historic flair and state of the art modern amenities (a dip in the saltwater pool was so great at the end of a hot day of cycling to historic sites). Breakfast was gourmet dining on a level beyond amazing; delicious, fresh, innovative, varied, and generous (we were not hungry again until supper time). Brian and Jan were very relaxed and welcoming.
Brian went way beyond what was required to ensure we had a wonderful stay in the area. He shared his knowledge of the area and gave us great tips on where to go and what to see and do. Even shuttled us and our bikes. He made us feel like family.
I would rate the Ranger's Retreat a 6 out of 5 - it really is beyond the best accommodations I have ever experienced - and it was reasonably priced.

Room Tip: The Twins room - comfortable twin beds, modern en-suite, big balcony in the sun, quiet air condition...

I concur with the previous reviewers 100% by giving Ranger's Retreat the highest rating I can give. The host is extremely nice and accommodating and the room was superb--comfortable, well-located. The breakfast was the best I've ever had with multitudinous cheeses, preserves, breads, not even including the succulent freshly prepared egg dishes. A definite must stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake

We stayed in the Twins Room. It was very comfortable and relaxing. In the morning, we couldn't believe how much we had for breakfast. It was a huge spread full of breads, jams, cheeses, fruits and we had eggs Benedict as our hot dish. We were so stuffed! The host, Brian was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area. He made some good recommendations on the wineries and the restaurants.

There was a pool on the premise but we didn't get a chance to use it. We heard from other guests that they enjoyed spending time in the pool.

We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely come back!

This was one of our best B&B experiences ever! The home is completely updated with attention to every detail. The bedding is 5 star quality, the rooms are quiet and comfy; beautiful baths. Lovely grounds and gardens. The saltwater pool was wonderful! DO NOT sleep through the incredible breakfast, generously complimented by a large variety of cheeses, home made breads, pastries, jams and compotes.

Thanks so much to our doting innkeepers, Jan and Brain! We are still smiling and will be back soon!

Room Tip: There is not a bad room. All of them are beautifully decorated and complete with 5 star bedding...ho...
