“I don't get it.”
Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

Why does everybody love this place? We stopped in for a light lunch before theater. I had quiche (reheated, not fresh made) and iced tea. $3.50 for a glass of iced tea with a refill costing another $3.50. Seriously? Beet salad was o.k. Hubby had a salad plate with hot tea. Quick, light lunch ended up costing $50+. Too much. Should have had a gelato.

“Many gluten-free options”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

This may be easy to miss on the busy Queen St. strip since it is located at the back of the store. There is also a small patio out back. The food is pre-made but reheated well. The gf boxty was filled with flavorful chicken curry that had just the right amount of heat. The gf salmon cakes were also tasty. The mushroom and celery soups were dairy free. The dessert case had many gf options. The date-squares were dairy/egg free. Service was super-friendly and quick.

“Lovely afternoon tea”
Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

Had a lovely afternoon tea in this little tearoom. The shop has authentic Irish goods for sale as well as little trinkets from the Emerald Isles. Lovely tea with a wide selection of homemade cakes and lunches. We had divine almond and cranberry cookie. Would really recommend. Staff friendly. Thanks

“Lovely little respite”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

We were in town for the Shaw Festival for the first time. We happened on this little gem and liked it so much for lunch that we went back the next day! The quiche and sandwiches were delicious (with vegetarian options). The service was wonderful!

“Proper Tea & Gluten Free Cakes”
Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

On short visit to this little gem of a town and we happened upon the Irish Team Room and decided to stop for a mid morning coffee. Essentially it is little cafe at the back of a nice shop selling Irish (inspired) clothes, textiles & various souveniers (nothing tacky though). My wife is coeliac and allergic to wheat flour / gluten. Imagine our surprise & delight threfore that on entering the cafe we were greeted with glass fronted counter containing a variety of delicious looking cakes with a sign declaring all cakes were gluten free! We both plumped for the day's special, coconut sponge cake and it was marvellous. In addition we had a pot of 'Barry's' tea (I believe an Irish brand) which again was very good, proper tea! Excellent service from the girls in attendance. (Also bought a few things in the shop and served by a very friendly Irish lady, who I believe friend of the owners).
Recommend a visit.
