My husband and I visited the Grill on King on May 28th for a rare night out and we had a fantastic meal. The grilled calamari and crabcakes were the best I've ever had and the main courses (mushroom risotto and a grilled lamb sirloin with merlot reduction) were delicious. The food presentation was a delight. The only mar on an otherwise perfect meal was having to sit next to a woman who complained from the moment she sat down. It was no surprise to me to see her review (Dine If You Dare) on this site. For someone who was apparently celebrating her 20th anniversary with her husband, it was pretty appalling. She complained about the way her steak was cooked and even after the chef cooked her a new one, that wasn't good enough. The entire restaurant had had enough of her and applauded after she left. I felt sorry for her husband. The food is first rate. The chef clearly takes pride in his work and rectified her concerns. There's no pleasing some people, unfortunately. We appreciated our dining experience immensely and we will be back again. Thanks for a memorable evening.
