“Nice B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

We were having great time staying in the Magnolia room for few nights. The hostess Janet was very helpful and a great cook. We enjoyed the 4 course breakfast everyday. The house is located in the quieter part of town which we liked and the price is half what is in town. It is only few minutes drive to the "old town" and 20 mins to Niagara fall.

Thank you for your supportive review. We appreciate your kind words and are thrilled when our guests appreciate our rural setting between the orchards and vineyards. We hope the next time you are passing through the area you will join us again.

The hostess Janet was amazing : so helpful and such lovely hospitality . The homemade breakfast was absoultly delicious !!! And the magnolia room was really beautiful !

I must recommend people to stay there at the carbonnel and to take a ride around the quaint town and go to the peanut shop.

Thank you Janet !!!!!

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The weather has been great and the town has been very busy. The peanut shop is getting lots of business and I'm sure they appreciate your support.
Safe travels. Janet

We didn' know that B&B changed the owner because Janet, the hostess, have all the information about the local area, dinning, tasting wine, shoping. Her house is something
special, breakfast is the best. Be sure to stop by visiting Niagara Lake.

On our way back to Virginia, after a week in Toronto, we decided to visit Niagara-on-the Lake.
Looking on-line before we left Toronto, we found Carbonnel Bed and Breakfast and made a
reservation for that night. Our stay there couldn't have been better. The two rooms that
we had reserved were both pleasant and comfortable and breakfast in the sunny
breakfast room was wonderful. Hostess Janet couldn't have been better....she was able
to suggest a number of things for us to do in the area and places to eat. Niagara-on-the Lake
is a beautiful town and area and our stay at Carbonnel B & B made out short visit there
all the better. I would highly recommend Carbonnel to anyone

On arrival we found out that the B&B had recently changed hands. This may even have enhanced our experience as Janet was a great host, immediately made us feel at home and already, after one month, had an excellent knowledge of the local area and advised us expertly on places to eat and places to explore. Carbonnel B&B has excellently appointed spotlessly clean and decorated rooms with excellent en-suites.

Sadly we were not able to enjoy the hot tub as the weather was poor, but we did enjoy Janet's beautiful and substantial breakfasts, a great chat around the breakfast table, a very quiet and peaceful night's sleep and the welcome of little dog Chardonnay!

Carbonnel B&B is about 20 minutes drive from Niagara Falls and around 10 minutes from Niagara on the Lake. A great place for exploring this area. Thank you Janet for our stay!

Room Tip: Take your pick. All are fine.

So glad to hear that everything was to your liking. The hot tub is ready and waiting for another visit. Thank you for noting that our location is so conveniently close to both Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake but yet in a setting great for relaxing.

Carbonnel has changed hands since the last review but don't let that put you off, it is still excellent. Janet your new hostess is just what is required of a B&B owner, makes you feel at home in her comfortable home, has great local knowledge especially of wineries! and cooks a mean breakfast. Would have no hesitation in recommending this as a destination, we thought we would be there 2 nights in our trip but actually stayed 4 nights. Only tip would be phone for directions because not easy to find and sat nav picked up another Townline Road!

Wonderful sleep and the most gracious host/hostess! The winter beauty of the surroundings was accented with the warmth of a comfortable home setting. The food was top notch and the overall experience is a wallet win... underpriced accommodation but over the top service. This one you will want to keep a secret for yourself... for the sake of future booking availabilty. Nice treat.
