“Our Stay September 2013”

We had an excellent stay at Cape House B&B and will certainly stay there again. Our room was upstairs and very comfortable and clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Spent time with us helping to find the right restaurants to eat at. On a cool day a nice day to walk to the main street. The house has been completely pained and looks very nice. They offered us the front sitting room to enjoy "appetisers" before going our for dinner with friends.

Room Tip: A great place away from home while attending plays at the Shaw Festival.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the B&B. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the spacious sitting room. Phyllis and John prepared a delicious breakfast. Their gardens were beautiful. We enjoyed the quiet ambience and spacious bathrooms.

Room Tip: Make sure the bed is comfortable

We stay here in August 2013, what a great bed and breakfast I really enjoyed my stay I stayed here with my wife and two teenage sons, both the rooms were well presented and very clean, we really enjoyed the whole experience and would not think twice about staying here again. Phyllis arranged for a birthday card and some cupcakes for my youngest son’s birthday when my eldest son phoned ahead and asked if this would be possible, Phyllis was more than pleased to help and wouldn’t except any payment for doing this. More about Niagara on the lake, the town is a good 30 minute walk and other reviewers said it was more like 40 minutes but I didn’t try it to be honest it was about 38 degrees centigrade out and I stuck to the car and the AC. The Sand Trap sports bar is about 5 minutes’ walk from the B&B which had been recommended by John and Phyllis, we went there both nights that we stayed in Niagara on the Lake as the food was great and the atmosphere very pleasant, and there was a good selection of beers and the service was great. The town it’s self is very nice with lots of shops and plenty of places of interest Fort George being a favourite of mine. We stayed on the first floor it was quiet and we had the shared area to ourselves pretty much (sorry to Sc0user we were the people making the noise when we walked around I think). If you want to stay anywhere in the area stay here you won’t be disappointed.

The Cape House B&B was our home base for a week at the Shaw Festival. The hospitality of the hosts John and Phyllis could not be beat. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfasts were generous, varied and delicious. The only (minor) negative is that we would have preferred a firmer mattress on the bed. WiFi is available, as is a shared fridge for guests and bottled water. Our hosts were very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting activities and restaurants around town. It was our wedding anniversary and they presented us with a complementary bottle of wine. Another guest had a birthday and the hosts treated us all to cupcakes after breakfast. We highly recommend this B&B and look forward to visiting again.

This B&B was the perfect spot for us. It was centrally located from everything we wanted to see, within walking distance of a few good places to eat, but far enough out of town to be bale to get there and avoid the traffic. The breakfasts each morning were wonderful and complete and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the gathering rooms as well so we could sit with other guests and compare notes and activities. The outside seating was wonderful for having a glass (or two) of wine before dinner or before bed. The hosts were very knowledgeable and helped us plan our days and could even tell us about special events taking place ensuring that we could see and do everything we wanted to. They seemed to know when you had questions and were there to answer them but let you relax by yourself the other times. They always had time for us when we had questions. This is the place to stay when you are in Niagara-on-the-lake.

Room Tip: If traveling with one other couple, get the upstairs rooms and you will have the floor to yourself!

I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before so I was unsure what to expect. Now I don't think I can stay at one again because it won't meet the bar set by John and Phyllis!! We stayed for four nights and were treated with 4 delightful breakfast meals. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean. The outdoor sitting area for guests was perfect; we loved all of the little details and appreciated the thought that went into the design of the space and the accessories. We would have missed several great places to visit had it not been for the advice of the hosts. If I ever come back to Niagara-on-the-Lake, which I certainly hope to do, I will not be staying anywhere else. This B & B blew us away and we will be raving about it with every description of our wonderful trip.

Owned and hosted by two friendly professionals turned Innkeepers who go out of their way to make your stay a most enjoyable one. Immaculately clean and bright living areas, comfortable bedroom suites and private outdoor sitting area (complete with wine glasses) for your pleasure. Good breakfasts, nicely presented. A short drive from downtown area but there are a few restaurants nearby should you wish to walk- highly recommend Stone Road Grill. Great location if you are there to do some cycling as well. Our hosts were very accommodating in storing our bicycles overnight so we didn't have to load them onto the car. Anticipating our needs, they provided a fresh set of towels while we were out to dinner one evening ( after we had showered following a long day of cycling and exploring wineries). John and Phyllis have a great knowledge of the area, eager to suggest interesting sites and provide maps and information freely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as will you....

We enjoy guests who either bring their own bikes or rent from Zoom which is located a short 5 minute walk away. Glad you appreciated the bike lock-up. It is no trouble to provide replace towels used by cyclists at the end of the day so that they can have dry, clean towels the following morning. We look forward to hosting you again.
