Abagales Victorian Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed August 9, 2009

I stayed at Abagale's Victorian Bed and Breakfast for 1 night recently and was greeted with a bright warm, friendly smile at the door. This was just the wonderful beginning to a perfect and memorable stay! From the gorgeous and secluded hot tub and sitting area in the backyard to the exquisite and pristine bedrooms, Abagale's is the benchmark for bed and breakfast perfection!
Our host and hostess were knowledgeable, fun and so refreshingly friendly. The recommendations we were given in regards to food, wine tours and things to do were exactly right and paved the way to lasting memories.
I highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone traveling to the Niagara on the Lake area. My stay exceeded all expectations and I left relaxed and happy!

As regular visitors to Niagara-on-the-Lake, we can't say enough about the friendliness and hospitality at Abagale's. Accomodations were spotless, the breakfasts were wonderful and Innkeeper Walter couldn't have been more helpful. His insights into the area, suggestions for wine tours and his good humour all combined to make it a memorable visit. While the rooms are spacious and inviting, my wife and I spent one late evening, kicking back on the veranda, sipping wine and watching the world go by.....

My wife and I came to Abagale's through a reco from Butler Creek B& B. They were full and at Linda's recommendation, we stayed here. Absolutely lovely, warm rooms. Oversize bathroom, clean and well kept rooms. Breakfast was excellent with , I must admit my favorite, home made croissants (yum). Inn Keeper, Walter, provided us with excellent recommendations for dining, sight seeing and where to find the best wines. His input was instumental to a wonderful stay.

We can't wait to go back ! Still drinking out ice wine that was a Walter reco ! thanks

We have been staying with Wally and Linda for well over ten years. The accommodations are comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is enjoyable for both the food and the company. We have met many pleasant and interesting people over the years. We especially enjoy it because it is convenient to the historic downtown but just distant enough that we are away from the crowds. We enjoy the bike trails (5 minutes away) and the short drives to the wineries. Wally is always knowledgable about the plays, restaurants, and the current trends in the local wines. We highly recommend this B&B and now that we are both retired...plan on staying more than once a year! Karen and Larry Poulos Akron, Ohio USA

What a charming place to stay in Niagara. The front looks like a little doll house from the Victorian days with the decor inside to match. Our host Walter was so much fun to be around, we lingered after breakfast just to hear his stories. We even came back a few months later and went to a Jimmy Buffet concert with him. The food was awesome, and the rooms were immaculate. The back deck was perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Our special requests were met without question. Walter was so accomodating, and he made us feel right at home. This place is definitely one of our favourite places to stay in Niagara. Toni Deschaine and Andrew Torok

In April of 2008, my husband and I stayed at a lovely Bed and Breakfast named Abagale's Victorian located on Niagara on the Lake. The exterior of the home itself is very attractive and offers an ample parking lot. We were warmly greeted by Linda Jeffries, the owner. Linda is very gracious and immediately made us feel at home. Her knowledge of the area is tremendous and helpful. We stayed in the Abagale room, which is beautifully decorated with gorgeous hardwood gloors and a fireplace. The bathroom is large and offers a whirlpool tub. There is a splendid dining area adjoined by a lovely sitting area. Our breakfast the following morning (cooked by Linda's associate) was plentiful, visually appealing, and delciious. The entire home is immaculate and welcoming. This place is absoluting charming and merits a return visit.

This was my first visit to Niagara on the Lake. Abagales Victorian is a very clean and charming bed and breakfast that I would highly recommend. We had two double beds, a very large bathroom, television and the perfect stove for warming ourselves after walking throughout the neighboring vineyards on the cold, rainy day. Breakfast was perfect...fresh fruit, croissant, and an egg and ham on English muffin. The coffee was great too! A nice sitting room off to the side provides a great place to relax and read a little before beginning your day.
