The Historic Pacific
Reviewed July 24, 2011

We returned to the Historic Pacific to celebrate our one year anniversary and had been there the year before for our honeymoon. Chris and Jen did not disappoint in any way. The room was just as we remembered it; clean, modern and so comfortable. The food was one of the best parts and will keep us coming back for MANY years. Jen's home made jams and baked goods top off the already wondeful and delicious breakfasts. Although all of these things are great, the best part of our stay will always be Chris, Jen, Bianca and their loveable dog, Ellie. The warmth and hospitality that they show is so refreshing and they go above and beyond to assist their guests in any way possible. We really can't say enough great things about our stay there and we will for sure be there in the near future!!!!

My husband and I stayed at The Historic Pacific for two nights in July. Jen and Chris made our stay an amazing experience. The room was clean, very tastefully decorated - old world charm with a modern flare. The linens and toiletries were VERY nice. It was a very hot weekend and they provided us with a full pitcher of ice water, and juice in the fridge. We stayed in the pacific suite. We really enjoyed the sitting area with a library.
My husband and I are avid cyclists. Chris provided us with a great map and directions, around the Niagara area, labeling wineries, fruit stands and restaurants that were not to be missed... We were certainly not disappointed.
The breakfast is out of this world. My husband and I agree that both breakfasts that we had there were the two best breakfasts that we have EVER had. Even after biking after breakfast on Saturday we weren't hungry till well into the afternoon. Jen is obviously passionate about the quality of food that they serve. Their emphasis on local and organic, is very important to us.
We really enjoyed the fact that there was no T.V. We were able to explore the area, read and relax. The iPod dock is a very nice touch.
That said... the nicest part of our stay was the way we felt at home, welcomed and at ease with the way Jen and Chris interacted with us. We had quite a few great conversations with them. They are very genuine people, and are the best at what they do!
We will be recommending this B and B to our friends and are hoping to be sending our family there as well.
My husband and I look forward to making this our annual getaway!
This is not an experience to be missed

My partner and I stayed at the Historic Pacific for 3 nights in May 2011. It was just as inviting, relaxing, and romantic as the photos depict. We stayed in the Pacific Suite. The bed was comfortable, the linens were excellent, the tub was not to be missed, and the fireplace added a romantic touch. We enjoyed the sitting area each evening where we keept snacks and drinks.
Breakfast each mornings was delicious! Just when we thought we could eat no more, Jen would bring out another course of some special treat. Each day was better than the one before - from omelets, quiche, to French toast. As good as any 5 star restaurant  I’m not much for casual chit chat… Chris (with babe in arm) and Jen were the perfect hosts – great conversationalist when asked, but unobtrusive when they were suppose to be.
The location was within walking distance to any where in NOTL. It is on a quite tree lined street, only 1 block from the street with all the shops, restaurants, and Shaw Theater. A busy summer prevented us from writing our review until now (July!!) but the memories have us both wishing we were back for another visit!!

We have been going to Niagra on the Lake every year for more than twenty five years,on our own or with one or two other couple, staying in B and Bs for one or two nights, and seeing three to five plays each time.
We have NEVER been to such a poor, overpriced B and B before!!
The owners are a young couple with a baby and a dog, who have owned this property for only one year..
We were NOT supplied with a key to our room, which we felt was dangerous
The room itself is small & OK,but without aTV.
The shower is new and looks like it was made for a basement apartment. The shower door was difficult to get out of ,and the soap stand kept falling on the shower floor!
WE were told that we could not use their back yard
The "Breakfast" that we were served, was small and tasteless.
The $175 a night price was far too high for this room
The couple were unfriendly and uncooperative.
With so many Band B's with vacancies in Niagra on the Lake, Historic Pacific B &B should be avoided---as "history"!!.

We loved our three nights at The Historic Pacific B&B in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada. The Pacific Suite was exceptional and more than met our needs. Our hosts Jen and Chris were perfectly lovely and welcoming. Thank you for thrilling us with your exquisite and gourmet breakfasts. We were able to completely relax and feel comfortable at The Historic Pacific and we will definitely return for another visit soon.

We stayed for 3 nights and it could not have been a better experience. Our room was spotless, beds were comfortable and the jacuzzi shower was a great touch. The house is beautiful and the breakfasts were even better. The homemade pastries (banana nut muffins were my favorite), fresh fruit, egg inspired main course and hot coffee was the perfect start to the day. Most of all, the hosts are second to none. Their hospitality and recommendations to restaurants, wineries and the bike rental made the vacation, one we will not soon forget. Thank you Jen + Chris and we will see you again soon.

This Bed & Breakfast is FANTASTIC! The room was spotless, the bed and bedding were supurb and the food was amazing, but that was expected. What we weren't expecting was the amazing hospitality. Chris & Jen were Incredible hosts! They are so relaxed and accomodating. We chatted for hours, it felt like we were visiting old friends. They have a beautiful little girl and a great pooch. What a wonderful experience! Jen's homemade jam is wonderful! This is how Niagara on The Lake should be!!
