“Just perfect!”
Reviewed February 16, 2009

My husband and I just came back from our Valentines getaways at La Toscana de Carlotta. We had the best time, the host, Carlotta and Cash are amazing, the house was perfect and the breakfast was delicious, all home made goodies....
We booked the Medici room, which was comfortable, clean, bright.
I highly recommand this B&B!

One cannot possibly put all that La Toscana di Carlotta is in words, nor can one rave enough about the lovely Carlotta and Kash to truly do them justice.
I have just completed my second stay and drove through very intermitent weather (SNOW, lots of snow) to get there and every minute of the slipping and sliding was worth it to arrive and stay for 3 days, 2 night at this Tuscan B&B.
My friends and I were treated like queens and my diet began as we drove off...
Carlotta and Kash have truly created the atmosphere of Tuscany and the Italy I love to remember.. the rooms are warm, welcoming, spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Once I found my spot, I was out for the count which is difficult to do away from home...
We will most definitely be back... and THIS IS WHERE WE WILL STAY!
Wonderful, Brava, Fantastico! Thanks for another memorable, home away from home, welcome!

We just had to return and we did! Carlotta and Kash greeted us with open arms and a cozy fire upon our late evening arrival. Our rooms were beautifully spotless and waiting for us to enjoy our 3 day retreat in this cold and snowy Canadian winter!
It was good to be back in Tuscany again :-)
Carlotta and Kash pulled out all the stops for us once again and it was just like visiting family. We had been here the past summer and we couldn't wait to return to their smiling faces, generosity of heart and a big slice of Italy in Niagara on the Lake!
The bed in the DaVinci Suite was just what Mom and I needed - and the other two gals in our girl pack enjoyed the Brunelleschi Suite this time around! We couldn't WAIT for brunch the following morning and we enjoyed that indoors this time in our pyjamas! Listening to Renzo Arbore sing those old Italian favourites in the background was quite fun while we enjoyed the cuisine of Carlotta and the lovely chat with Kash as he served us and we gulped down his homemade juice and excellent cappuccino's! The dining area was beautifully set for us and the coffee ready much to our delight as we sat down to partake in the delicious spread and variety of Tuscan delights! Leaving you was yet again difficult but be rest assured that we will be back ... and just like that door mat says upon entry from the cold outside .... OH NO ... NOT YOU AGAIN! Yes ... we shall return because we miss you and the sweetness you both bring to our hearts! Thank you AGAIN with our love! Tammie, Peg, Ida & Lilly xoxo

I can say without hesitation that this is the best B&B I have ever experienced. Carlotta and Kash have created a wonderfully warm and welcoming environment on multiple levels. They are welcoming hosts, warm and engaging, relaxed, well-travelled and comfortable talking on many subjects but respectful of their guests privacy and never intrusive. The rooms are delightful with many thoughtful touches such as an assortment of chocolates, books on the artists and architects for which the rooms are named, and pads for cleaning one's face in the bathroom. Beds are comfortable. On the ground floor there is a pleasant area to sit by the fire and talk with your hosts and/or fellow guests. Breakfast begins at the leisurely hour of 8:30am and consists of several small courses of lovingly prepared, delicious food. The main town is literally steps away with the theatres only blocks and the wineries a 5-10 minute drive. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The hosts of this inn give you no choice but to be perfectly comfortable and spolied! From sleeping on dreamy imported Italian linens to sipping an espresso over fabulous breakfast, the thing that makes La Toscana special is really the owners, Carlotta and Kash. They clearly love people and they are clearly the real deal. With Carlotta's cute Italian accent and love of life and fun to her delicious cooking, to a really interesting conversation with Kash in front of the fireplace, we really felt as though this was not the first time we met them. They make it easy to be at home. The space was clean and comfy, and not stuffy at all. We enjoyed the winter garden, watching the cardinals come for feedings and show off their colours. All in all, for a quick get away, it was just perfect. A small taste of Italian culture and energy is always good for the soul.

Carlotta and Kash are wonderful hosts! We were made to feel most welcome and comfortable in their beautiful home. Breakfast was a feast to behold! Kash makes the most wonderful juices to start off, then Carlotta keeps sending out food, each dish absolutely scrumptious. In between, we chatted with both Kash and Carlotta. It was a pleasure to get to know them. Our rooms were very comfortable, with every amenity included, and beautifully decorated. The proximity to the downtown area of NOTL is also handy, although we were so comfortable at La Toscana that we spent our down time there. We would highly recommend a stay at this unique bed and breakfast!

Quite a treat to stay here. The rooms were clean, we had everthing we needed AND extras. The food was delicious, the owners were very friendly and pleasant and you could not ask for a nicer stay. The location was right in town, so everything was in walking distance. This was my second time staying here and I plan to come back next year.

All the best!
