“Good Times”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

We have 3 children, so a lot of times arcades are not cheap. For Niagara Falls, I think this was the least expensive thing we did! For $20, my kids were busy for a good hour.

They have just about every game you can think of, along with those little motorized rides for the younger crowd. Our 3 year old was entertained endlessly by these.

“Fun time!”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

It was so much fun playing all the games and the ghost ride was really fun. Its a typical arcade setting but our 2 year old loved playing the games and riding the little rides.

“Felt Like a Kid Again”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Had so much fun here we were all older but had a blast here playing games of chance and riding on the rides. when we finished we found a family and gave all our tickets away to them. Take a step back be a kid again you will walk out of there with a smile on your face, we did!!!

“Good, I guess if it's raining and you have kids and lots of money.”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

'The Great Canadian Midway' may sound great, but it's just another 'could-be-located-anywhere-even-in-a-shopping-mall' attraction.
It's a collection of video games and some more old-school arcade type games with a prize-redemption counter and an eatery.
The video games aren't cheap (most requiring at least $1 to play and some eating up quite a bit more) and nothing is "unique" to Canada or Niagara Falls.
It's basically just a typical arcade located a few minutes walk from the Falls.
I'm really not that impressed with this kind of attraction taking away from the natural beauty and majesty and history of one of North America's (actually, the world's) most recognizable landmarks.

“Go to have fun, not win a big prize”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

The Great Canadian Midway was certainly the highlight of Clifton Hill for my 2 granddaughters (ages 5 and 7). I gave them a specific number of tokens to spend as they wished, but when they were gone, they were gone. The girls ran from kiddie ride to kiddie ride, making choices based on how many tokens they required. Then we discovered that some of the rides that had little games of skill involved and also gave out tickets for redemption on prizes! The excitement just ramped up. Granted, they could only choose from the lowest groups of prizes, but they each got one. We went back the following day before we left, and this time the girls concentrated on the ticket-givers, and did even better. A great payoff for a total investment of $20, and a great lesson in spending wisely.
