“Save you money - stay here!”
Reviewed September 28, 2008

This is a cute place located right off the main drag in Niagara Falls. The rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. And you can take the money you save by skipping the "falls view" room in a pricier hotel and splurge on some of the falls attractions!

The hotel is located within walking distance of the falls and the many attractions that surround it. Do keep in mind, though, that Niagara is rather spread out, and it is easy to wander far enough to find yourself a cab's ride away from the hotel (as we did our first night when we ended up at the casino near the Embassy Suites). The taxis were more expensive than we were used to (we live in New York City), so keep that in mind as you explore the town.

The hotel is closest to the viewing point of the American Falls, but we learned that there is a municipal bus route that can take you to the Horseshoe falls. However, you must purchase your tickets prior to getting on the bus (as we found out too late).

Overall, we found this to be a wise hotel choice, both financially and location-wise. It's close enough to enjoy the falls but far away enough to avoid the noise and lights of the crowds and the attractions - and the higher prices.

If your preference is to be close to the action, but not to be directly above the nightclubs and arcades (!), this hotel is perfect. Although, as other reviewers have noted, it is out of the central hub of Clifton Hill, we found it was only within a 5/10 minute walk to the Hill and 20 minutes to Maid in the Mist. If driving, it was convenient to get to Niagara on the Lake. We found the location to be great and exactly what we were looking for.

The hotel is clean and well kept, however some rooms could probably do with being updated. The staff are excellent and had good recommendations - we were able to check in early and choose our room. Overall we found the hotel was comfortable, in a quiet location and good value. The breakfast was good, however, the hotel is popular with coach parties, so was busy every morning. Also note, there is no safe in the room, however a safety deposit box is available at reception.

  • Liked — Quiet Location, great staff
  • Disliked — Not enough breakfast seating available.

A friend and I spent three nights at Country Inn & Suites, Niagara Falls. We could not have been more pleased with the experience. The staff members at the front desk staff were courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We liked having a sitting room (with its own TV) and the refrigerator was a plus! The location is great. It's about a 20 minute walk to the falls. We would not have wanted to be any closer because of the crowds and neon lit attractions that are so close to the falls themselves. The breakfast choices are very good -- we particularly enjoyed making our own waffles (couldn't be easier) and the selection of fruits and juices. The coffee was surprisingly good! This hotel deserves to be near (or at) the top of the choices in Niagara Falls!

I read a lot of reviews on trip advisor before selecting this hotel for my two night stay. This hotel was nice, but nothing about my stay was excellent. The rooms were nice, but nothing special or different than any other hotel room. The pool and hot tub is a decent size, bigger than most hotel pools. The breakfast in the morning is just okay. The only hot thing is waffles, other than that cereal, yogurt, bagel, bread, coffee, juice.

Just wanted to let you know that we found some of the reviews on this hotel misleading. It's located further from the falls - a good 20 min walk.
Breakfast - not very good. It's mostly bread - bagels, waffles, tarts, cereals, mini muffins, bread, bread, bread. I don't eat grains... that's why I couldn't appreciate it. The hard-boiled egg was extremely over cooked. The only thing I was able to have is banana and it was over-ripe with brown dots. Yuk! Would be nice to see some more fruits and vegetables, even smoothies for extra points! And a nice omelette/scrambled eggs, cottage cheese etc.
The best thing which we liked about our stay was the service; the hotel staff was excellent and the room was spotless.

We got to Niagra on the canadian side, in order to stay at the hotel one night. As we went to check in the girl at the front desk offered us to upgrade the room that we booked on their website for only $10 dollars and to change from a standard room to a room with a jacuzzy next to the bed - we took her offer (we paid about $119 for the stay, including breakfast, parking and tax) and that was a GREAT decision. The room was huge, very very clean and nicely decorated.
The a/c was good, and the jacuzzy worked fine (there's a timer you need to switch on to make it work before you press the button). There was also a shower that had good hot water, but the water pressure was low (the cold was fine, I don't know why).
The view was not so good, but it doesn't matter, because the falls are a 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel, so the location is good.
When you check in you get a paper to put inside your car at the parking lot, but don't be mistaken, parking is extra charge (I think it was about $6, if I'm not mistaken).
Breakfast was ok, had different kinds of sweets and waffles, buns, Philadelphia cheese, juices etc.
The staff was very nice, and checking in/out went with no problems. I recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to pay a decent price and get so SO much in return.

I booked this hotel on a Tuesday for $62 a night($71 with tax). It was a great hotel at a great price. Very clean, seemed new and lots of amenities. Granite tub surround and countertop in the bathroom, and plenty of towels. It was a short walk from Rainbow Bridge and the falls, Fallsview Casino and Clifton Hill. If you know where Skyline Hotel is it's right behind it. I've stayed in absolute dumps for a lot more money and couldn't believe how nice this place was for the money. We had six of us in two adjoining rooms and we all loved it. The kids went in the pool and had a blast. The breakfast was wonderful. Cereal, juice, waffles, fruit, muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, toast... We had no problems getting what we wanted, but it was a weekday in September :) You can't go wrong with this place, I'd recommend it to anyone.
