Thanks to our wonderful hosts, Stefanie and Wayne we spent two great days in this Gothic revival home, it is cozy quiet place only minutes away from Niagara Falls. We enjoyed the hospitality, the excellent breakfast and the warm welcome. Whenever we come back there will be only one place for us to stay: Blythewood Manor...and if you happen to be a Vampire fan: take a look at the backyard and make sure to buy a copy of Wayne´s latest novel...it is really worth reading

We went to Niagara Falls for the Thanksgiving weekend. We chose this Bed & Breakfast for the old gothic look of the house. The rates are great value : who could think to sleep at low rate in Niagara Falls? And the location is good too. It's located in a nice quiet area, near the River. It's a bit remote from the "night life" aka Clifton Hill (about half an hour walk), but when you come back home to sleep, you can actually sleep. We were nicely welcomed and the room/private bathroom were extra clean. We were also pleasently surprised of all the small attentions to make our stay the most enjoyable possible (like cookies in the hall and kisses chocolate on the night table!) The breakfast was delicious, and huge!, we always had many choices of breakfast and a cupfull of fresh fruits and hot muffins. We unfortunately didn't meet the owners, but their friend who took care of us (Janie) was really kind and sweet. They also got maps of the city and brochures of places of interest/attractions. The house has a history (it's pretty old) and we can see pictures of former owners in the hall. We didn't stay long, but we enjoyed our stay. If we had to go again in the region, we will surely go there again.

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Niagara Falls for the weekend, and I took a chance on Blythewood Manor B&B. We had no trouble making reservations, and our trip was set.

When we arrived my husband took a nap right away after the drive, and I talked with Stef for at least an hour about the house and its history. There's an entire wall dedicated to the house's history.

Our room was pretty and clean. It had a sink separate from the shower and toilet and a queen size bed with a ceiling fan and A/C unit. The TV was small, but we weren't on vacation to watch TV. I love the skeleton key lock for the doors.

Stef and Wayne gave us lots of info on the area and vineyards and restaurants to visit. After being out all night the first night we crashed pretty hard, and we both slept like rocks. We were out so late that we left a note for Wayne and Stef for our breakfast requests.

Their breakfasts were awesome! The very best home fries we've ever had, and we've not been able to find anything like them to compare! I had waffles with strawberries, and my husband had pancakes. Stef makes fresh muffins every morning that were amazing! Every morning was a different type of muffin. Instead of a "set breakfast" we had a choice of the main course.

Not only was the food great and the bed comfortable for a good night's rest, but Wayne and Stef were wonderful hosts and we hope to go back to visit in the future. Definitely worth a visit.

We travelled to Niagara Falls to attend the Styx concert at Fallsview but chose to stay at Blythewood Manor. While the king suite has some interesting placements of things it is to be expected trying to add modern conveniences to a period home. When Wayne and Stephanie purchased the Inn it was a hideous shade of bright blue and the king room had previously been purple! They have done lots towards getting this pretty B&B back to more normal.

Being local to the area, we don't usually look for B&B's. We had been told about a new one that had opened and that it was great. This place lived up to all our expectations. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly hosts and a great meal in the morning - including fresh baked muffins! How can you go wrong? We will be coming back for sure.

Firstly I would like to say that in every way my wife and I are more than satisfied with all aspects of Blythewood Manor that TripAdvisor asks us to rate - and more. Which is why we have stayed there three times to date. The new owners have even restored the outside of the building to it's original glory. Inside is also real treat with it's awesome Victorian/Gothic architecture. They even cater to vegetarian and special diets. And not only is the B&B a gem - so are "Host/Hostess" Wayne and Stefanie. Wayne is the author of the recently published book "Whitechapel Road" and Stefanie is a gifted "era specific" and "special theme" model - to name just two of the many facets of this engaging couple. I highly recommend that you spend some time with Wayne and Stef at the Blythewood.

Very nice room. Not within walking distance of main Falls attractions, but close to People Mover stop. Friendly owner, good breakfast.
