I can recap on the last minute changes I made to our reservation, we were planning to be only 4 and last minute a last addition was added without any problem, the staff quickly find out a bigger room. The kids enjoy it every time we go, it is a nice place for the family as well.

Room Tip: Room on the ground level do have a quick access to the Water slides...

This lodge is family orientated. The water park is wonderful for young kids and the lazy river portion is great for chatting with a friend. The staff is absolutely terrific. We stay here yearly for a conference. Our rooms have always been clean and ready. Late checkouts are just about impossible to get so do not count on them. If you want quiet just request a room away from the action. The wolf howl takes some getting used to. The bus to the Falls is convenient. You also can get off at the last stop near the lodge and walk up the back road. Their spa is nice; the products used are great. The food varies but the desserts are too good.

This was out first time here and we had a great time. We were there for a long weekend and the only complaint was we should've stayed another night!
Storytime was awesome and Gillian was a great story teller. The kids loved her!
The meal at the buffett were also great! Stir fry is awesome!

Two days play and one night stay - the price is reasonable. I always try to book the cheapest days (use the flexable dates calender). This was our second time at Great Wolf Lodge. The water park is always fun. My kids are 12 and 8 and they had a blast. I am 35 and I love the waterslides. We booked online and then noticed a few weeks later that there was a 48 hour sale. I called the reservation line and they gave me the cheaper rate. My kids are at the age now where next time we will not book a theme room (they are more expensive).
The restaurant had a package for the dinner buffet, breakfast buffet and lunch in the waterpark. It was a good value for all of us and both buffets were one of the best we have ever been to. The food was excellent and so many items to choose from. Great visit!

We go GWL Niagara every winter, it is about a 5 hr road trip from Ottawa. We usually stay Sunday and maybe Monday because they’re generally the cheapest. Popular Ontario school holidays, Fridays, Saturdays are the most expensive and very crowded.

If you haven’t been to any of this hotel chain, this is a place for people who’d like to spoil their kids to the max. I’m not too much of a fan of waterparks but husband and kids (8 and 4.5) love it, I mostly sat at a table drink beer and read a book, maybe take a few tours of the lazy river and of course at least one half day of my time is reserved for Niagara Outlet shopping at Lundys Ln, so everybody’s happy.

Rooms are average in my opinion, fridge and microwave are nice for snacks. If you can afford it, get the themed rooms, kids love it. They have a bunker bed with their own TV and built like a small cabin inside the room.

Waterpark is really really good and you can spend hrs there although they don’t recommend more than 2-3 hrs (chlorine is not good for you), so we take breaks. Inside the waterpark there is a bar and a fast food restaurant, lockers, change rooms and a small shop for any needs - like swimsuits, slippers, water shoes,..etc.

Normally, when we’re there between 1PM-3PM we could check-in to our room but you can just get your bracelets and go into the waterpark if the room is not ready. So, as they recommend on their website pack your swimsuits and slippers separate, no need for any towels or any floaties (not allowed). They provide lifejackets which are convenient.

We did the MagiQuest game this year and it turned into another big attraction, it is like a treasure hunt around the hotel and when you point your wand to objects, they light up make noise/talk (which kid wouldn’t like that?). It’s not cheap though, we had the cheapest option with no frills and 2 kids shared it but it was still around $40 or so I think…

We normally get the meal plan which is again not cheap but this year decided not to get it and go out for some of the meals. We normally wouldn’t leave the hotel (other than for shopping) because we’ve seen the Niagara many times but if you haven’t, there are many attractions in between waterpark sessions to check out. Buffet breakfast and dinner used to be very good but this year it was just average. At waterpark level, just outside of it there are 2 fast food places for pizza and sandwiches, also an arcade room which is very popular with my kids, also kids club of sorts.
I say that because you don’t leave your kids there and there are some for fee activities but also toys that your child can play while you are there to supervise. They have a PJ party that they babysit your kids for about 2-3 hrs in a group setting for a fee, first time this year we took advantage of that and while the kids were there we went out for dinner and visited casino for a short while.

This hotel is like a Disneyland for kids (and some adults too), there are robotic talking animals everywhere in the lobby and story time and other activities during the day. GWL is a little on the expensive side but we feel that it’s worth it and highly recommend.

We have been to Great Wolf Lodge several times and everytime we go it gets better. This time we went with five other couples and all of their kids. Our group had almost 20 kids ranging from 13 to infant. Most of the kids however were under 7. This place has everything you need to have a fantastic time as a parent and as a kid. We went on the weekend of Halloween and even though it was one of the most busiest times of the year for this establishment the lines were in way prohibitive for the slides or the food. The trick or treating they had set up for the kids was great, although this particular event was quite crowded. The MagicQuest was enjoyed immensly by the older kids, as well as the arcade.

Room Tip: All the rooms are amazing!!!
