This gem once upon a time was way nicer when things weren't as restricted by insurance liabilities. The site used to have swimming and paddleboat rentals at one time. That said, as a local, I love this gem in the heart of the tourism mecca. The NPC do their best to maintain the site and it's generally really clean (other than after the weekend when half of Toronto descends on it). Wildlife, babbling brooks and just pure relaxation.

The Niagara Falls Parks and Recreation Dept. did a good job on DUFFERIN ISLAND. I am most impressed by the light design of 2 Canadian take flight off the water

Visited on New Years Eve. Very few people as everyone was in town and access was restricted. Had to get to it by devious means

A great place to get in touch with nature. Lots of birds, waterfowl, and small mammals. Just remember not to feed bread to the birds. Stop by the Dollar Store and grab a bag of mixed bird seed or a package of peanuts in the shell. Much healthier for them.
