It was a bit busy but we didn't have to wait to long and we also had a coupon from one of the mags we got at the hotel, My daughter (who was 1.5) really enjoyed herself. I would return when she is old and can have even more fun,

Loved Bird Kingdom again! The birds are beautiful and feeding the Lorikeets was a highlight for the kids. Visit the teahouse it has an amazing story and they make wonderful margaritas! Almost like being on a tropical resort for a little while. Worth a couple hours of your day and priced very reasonably.

The Bird Kingdom was a lot of fun, and actually included some exhibits that were more than just birds. They also had bats, bugs, and a reptile area where a HUGE tortoise was making the rounds, (he was pretty fast!), and other critters could be observed up close and personal. The same area has a booth where you can have your photo taken with an exotic bird perched on your wrist, if that is your thing. (You are not allowed to take your own photos, as they want to sell you one of theirs.)

Note - an area on a lower floo has an enclosure where you can purchase some "nectar" and feed the colorful tropical birds. This is fun, but be careful if you are at all afraid of being suddenly swarmed by a large number of birds, which will land on your head, hands, arms, and everyplace in between. It's fun, but it can overwhelm some people if they are not ready for it.

Anyway, this is a fun place, especially if bringing along small children and other family members. Parking is NOT free, so bring along $1.00 for every hour you intend to park in their lot.

Unless you are crazy about birds, this place is a little too expensive for what you get. It was almost 20 bucks per person including tax, and kids were only a couple dollars off. If you must go, coupons are a must!!! There is one small room and one large room with a few balconies and a waterfall inside. Walked through in about 20 minutes. We spent over a half hour afterwards trying to drag our kids out of the gift shop which is stratigically placed in the exit. The good thing about it was the staff were good with kids, and if you can, try to get in during the feeding times.
