“Couldn't Have Asked For More!”
Reviewed August 31, 2010

This was a our first visit to a B & B and were we amazed at the beauty and hospitality at this lovely bed and breakfast!! From the moment we stepped through the front door, we both felt like we were staying with long lost family...so inviting and comfortable.

Joe and Carm not only opened their doors to us, but their arms as well. Joe was amazing with helping us find off-the-beaten-path restaurants and making reservations for us at a restaurant overlooking the falls (we got the best seat in the house!). We were even able to purchase our Niagara attraction passes from Joe.

The breakfasts were plentiful and AMAZING! Staying at the B&B is worth the breakfast alone! Joe and Carm are perfectionists and made our stay a truly incredible getaway!! We cannot wait to return and visit our new friends! They've really made us regret not staying at a B&B before...and now they've ruined us! Who can live up to Joe and Carm?! :)

We had booked based on recommendations from tripadvisor. I can't comment on the quality of the stay since upon walking into the room/ b & b I realized the entire place had odor of perfume. If you are at all sensitive to perfumes you cannot stay here as all the rooms and home have the plug in perfumes. I have never been in B & B that had this before so i did not think to tell them about allergy to perfumes. After this i called all the B&B's we would be staying at for the rest of our trip and no one else used any perfumes in the rooms or the B&B. I wish we had known in advance - now I will always ask- but I believe that hotels, B& B's should not use plug ins and perfumes. We asked for a refund but the owner's charged us for one night - over 350.00 - it was a very expensive one night stay since we had to find another place to stay. The Canadian side of the falls is like a mini Las Vegas. Most of the restaurants are large and noisy and we found the Canadian taxes add 12% to your bill. This makes the Canadian side much more expensive than the US side.

My girlfriend and I came up to the area to see the falls and have a relaxing vacation. We didn't realize that we were staying at the the most hospitable Bed and Breakfast in the area. First of all the house was beautiful. The landscaping is cared for personally by the owners and is gorgeous. Once inside, you are brought back to a time that is classic and sophisticated. The first thing you see is a wooden staircase that is incredible. You would think it was something out of a movie. I loved it. The living room is tastefully decorated and the dining room has a beautiful table able to seat up to eight or more. Up the staircase you will find three rooms to stay in. The room we stayed in, La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) room, had a king sized bed with a small set of movable steps to help you into the bed as it is very comfortable and a bit high which I prefer. The separate sitting room has a nice couch and chair with an elegant coffee table and long table against the wall. The balcony, accessible from either the bedroom or sitting room was spacious with two comfortable iron tables and chairs for reclining while overlooking the river leading to the falls. The bathroom has a beautiful sink enclosed in a beautiful wooden counter. Every morning, breakfast was served with the freshest fruits and croissants as a pre-breakfast appetizer. Orange and other juices were served in beautiful glasses. Coffee was delicious and my girlfriend enjoyed the tea. Now the main entree for breakfast you would think came out of an upscale restaurant in NY or Paris. The food was presented in a manor that is truly fit for royalty and the flavors were exquisite. I only wish we were able to eat more. In our room the second day, we found a bottle of red wine that was made on site and fermented in a barrel in the basement of the house and was delicious. Dinner reservations were made for us at delicious restaurant called "The Keg". Usually an hour wait is required to get the seats near the tall glass windows, but with the reservations that were made for us, we were seated immediately. On Monday's and Wednesday's and I think Sundays, there are fireworks over the falls, which we had an excellent view of from our dinner table. Also tickets were able to be purchased for the Falls tours at the house. We would love to come back to visit the house again someday and we would definitely recommend this as the best place to stay for a romantic vacation or just a getaway.

We cannot say enough about how wonderful the Redwood Bed and Breakfast is. This has been our 5th or 6th time in staying with Joe and Carm and it's like visiting old friends. We bring bring a few other couples with us for a long weekend and have the most wonderful time! The breakfasts are always the best and they keep you going throughout the day. We talk about them all year! The rooms are comfortable and plush in everyway. All of the details are always taken care of. Joe always has the best recommendations for dinner and makes all of the arrangements from the cab to the best view in the city. We can't thank Joe and Carm enough and we look forward to visiting with them soon. Tanna and Chris (Pittsburgh)

We concur with those who say Redwood Bed & Breakfast is the best! We have been traveling to Niagara Falls for many years and stayed in different hotels each time but none of them had everything we wanted. This is our second year of staying at Redwood and believe me we won't stay anywhere else now that we've discovered the best! Everything from the gourmet meals to the most comfortable and elegant rooms are a treat. Joe and Carm are the warmest, most kind and attentive hosts you will ever find.
Our much needed get away was fantastic thanks to our relaxing stay at Redwood. Do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself.

Joe and Carm (the owners) are 2 of the nicest people we have ever met. We feel like they are family every year we go back. This year will be our 4th consecutive year going to their B&B. We have met some very nice couples usually from the states and I can say they make me proud to live in Canada. They are true embassadors of Canada and truely show what a Bed and Breakfast are all about. They have connections all over Niagara Falls and consider it their pleasure to call restaurants and tour guides to book tours and reservations for you. It is always our anniversary when we go and they always have a card and a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room when we arrive.
Besides the best hospitality around the breakfast is incredible. AFter Joe cooks breakfast you will not need to eat until dinner guaranteed. With fresh fruit and croissants that you can cover in Carms delicious homeade jams and jellies. Fresh squeezed orange juice and the best eggs benedict I have ever had. He always has a great variety of foods and teas. I cant wait to go back for my 10th anniversary this September!

On May 29th, another couple along with my husband and I, visited The RB&B for the second time--this time we spent three nights--having concluded our stay this morning (June 1st).

We thought we had a good time the first time, that's why we returned. This time, however, it was beyond our expectation. We stayed in their Saffron Valley--a different setting from the first time--we enjoyed their most exquisite breakfast--a touch of international--nothing like we've had any place else!

As one of the loveliest places and inexpensive at that--I would sincerely recommend it to others! [As an aside--we're from Massillon, Ohio in the U.S., and we do not settle--we select.]
