Walk the bridge, don't drive it would be my advice. You can stay and savour the amazing view for a few minutes. We walked over the bridge to the American side early on a Monday morning. There was only one person in front of us in the queue and we were in US around 5 minutes after joining the queue, so very efficient. The only down side was that as weren't US or Canadian citizens we had to buy an I94 card to enter the US, which cost 6 dollars each and you can only pay in US Dollars (cash). There is also a toll of 50 cent to cross into the US side, which you must pay in quarters. The views are really stunning! It's definitely worth the trip across for the views and to see the other side.

So why do we pay a toll coming back into Canada but not going the other way? Who gets the $$ from this? We had no wait lines, went through quick. Want to walk across next summer, heard the views are spectacular.

This bridge is a sight of beauty. Even more special is the mighty river below. The view from the bridge is well worth the drive or a walk. Take time to see the sights and sounds of Mighty Niagara.

The bridge between the US and Canada affords a great view of both sets of falls. There is a nice walkway; it's totally set up for safe pedestrian transit in addition to car traffic. It's kind of a no-man's-land between the countries -- you have to exit one country's control point to access the bridge, and you don't enter the other country's control point until you're at the other end of the bridge. So if you forget your passport, you may find yourself stuck in the middle with no way to get into either country. So exciting! So dangerous! OK, not really, but it's worth the trip to see what's on the other side. There is a 50-cent toll one way.

Ok, we were driving over from Buffalo to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls to stay. Since our flight was a late one, we got to the bridge about 1:00am....I was surprised to see that you had to pay $3.50 to cross the border...really people! Going through customs was a breeze, as we didn't have to declare anything, so the process was about 3 min after the agent asked all types of odd questions.
