We used Trip Adviser to select this B&B at short notice whilst holidaying in Canada. Our stay covered the 4th July holiday period so many of the 'higher ranking' B&Bs were booked out.
I am not sure how the 'ranking' system works but if it is accurate then the standard of B&Bs in Niagara must be exceptional for Villa Alexandrea was a delight in all aspects.
The house was built about 20 years ago and designed as a B&B accommodation with five guest rooms each with private bathroom. The garden room we had faced the rear of the property, had a very comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV with cable, and was kept beautifully clean. Our fellow guests commented on how comfortable their rooms were although those in rooms facing the front - River Road - were 'aware' of some traffic noise.
Breakfast was at a communal dining table and each couple was served an individual breakfast platter that changed every day. The food was appetising, beatifully cooked and presented, and more than ample. Our host Maria also checked to make sure that any dietary requirements were catered for.
The general feel of the house was warm and friendly and the gardens immaculate. Maria provided plenty of useful advice especially as we did not know the area and were reliant on public transport. The location is approximately 15 minutes walk to the main tourist centre and a similar distance to the main bus and rail station.
In summary we were so delighted with our stay that we we booked an extra night.
