I’ve had pho hundreds of times at many places in different cities and countries.
Who would have thought that there was such a hidden gem in Niagara Falls?
After a long day at the Falls, we were starving so we wanted to have dinner before the long drive home.
After reading some positive reviews on Trip Advisor, we settled on going to Pho Xyclo.
Here’s what we ordered:
(Vermicelli) Grilled Pork, Xyclo Sausage, and Spring Roll – Amazing. Loved that they give you an entire bottle of the pre-mixed fish sauce to use as much as you need
Special Crab Noodle Soup – Fabulous, the soup was so delicious. Very, very authentic. My wife is a small eater so she couldn’t finish. She asked me to help her out which I easily agreed to. I’m one who normally never finishes the remaining soup. Usually, when the noodles and meat are done, I stop there. But the soup was so good that I nearly consumed all of it.
(Pho) House Special Noodle Soup (x2) – WOW! Hands down one of the best pho soups I’ve ever tasted. I was surprised that a place in Niagara Falls had better pho than my favourite spot in Toronto. Such an authentic Vietnamese taste. Full of flavour.
Best value especially considering the quality of food. It came out to $39 after taxes. We paid more the night before at a pho restaurant in Oshawa (of all places).
The service was amazing. I don’t expect great service, so good service is all it takes to earn 20% from me. The staff was extremely nice and courteous. I left an $11 tip on our $39 meal.
My wife and I can’t stop thinking about this place. We have a large family event (over 50 family members) planned in Niagara Falls later this month. We will definitely be taking them all to Pho Xyclo.
