I couldn't have been happier with my choice of this hotel for a one night stay. I asked for an early check-in and a quiet room and was accomodated with both. The staff were helpful and pleasant. I don't think I have ever been in such a quiet room in a hotel. It was comfortable with great beds and very spacious. The gym and pool were both terrific. It is about a five minute walk to the casino and perhaps another five to see the falls. In terms of any negatives I would have to say the menu in the restaurant is very limited for dinner but there are good choices nearby. We ate at the Capri which was inexpensive, had huge protions and good food.

Don't pass up the welcome cookies - they are fantastic!.

I enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree. Its a great hotel for the price. The room was clean and comforable. My only complaint would be it is a pretty long walk from the horseshoe falls.

I've never posted on here before, but used this site to choose our hotel for our 1year anniversary trip to Niagara Falls, so decided to give my feedback and hope its helpful to someone else.
When deciding on a hotel, cleanliness was the most important for me. This hotel was exactly what I was hoping for. The rooms were updated, and very clean. The sheets/bed was comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The shower was very nice, we always had hot water and great pressure. The breakfast at their restaurant was ok. We did the bed/breakfast package so it was included in our room price, but if I had to pay the 15.00/person right after eating I wouldn't have felt so great about it. The omelet station was nice, but the pancakes were hard/old, the bacon and sausage were cold and the potatoes had no flavor at all. They definitely need to work on the buffet, just keeping things fresher and warmer would make a big difference.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend, and would stay here again next time we travel to Niagara Falls.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We got exactly the room we booked, it had a great view, and was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable too. We enjoyed the fact that the hotel was not in a very congested area yet the walk to the falls and one of the casinos was very easy. The concierge was so very helpful and we used her a great deal. The only complaint I have is that for this time of year they should not be charging $10.00 a day to park your car, but I think all the hotels charge. As a guest of the hotel, as the prices are pretty high already, you should be able to park for free. Especially off season as the surrounding lots ran from $2 to $5 for the whole day. It was nice not to have valet parking and quick access to your car. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We had a short one night stay before traveling on through Canada to Michigan; our room on the 16th floor was spotless and the view great. Sunrise directly out our window was priceless. As we left, we asked for directions from the desk attendent. Within minutes, we had hand written directions that were prefect! Thank you very much.
Would recommended the Doubletree to anyone; clean, quiet, and helpful staff.

Thank you for your posting. We are happy to see our team going the extra step to assist guests. During recent training we had an emphasis on customer service - Doubletree Hotels has a customer service brand program called CARE.

The lobby is beautiful but that is really where the resort feel ends. We had a room on the 15th floor and while the view was nice the layout of the room was weird. An outer sitting room was so small and univiting we just left our luggage out there and spent time in the bedroom. The furnishings and window dressings were more Days Inn than what one would generally expect from a Doubletree.
The bathroom was tiny, with poor lighting and a dribbly shower head. The towels more like a burlap sack than what one expects from a Hilton property.
Breakfast looked acceptable but as Hilton Diamond members with over 200 Hilton nights THIS YEAR... we were only alloted a coupon good for "Two pastry items, Coffee and Juice"... which amounted to dessicated croissants and cold cereal.
The two TV's were tiny and had very limited channels.
The Workout room was adequate and reasonably clean. The pool area looked clean as well but I didn't try it out.
WiFi was free and worked reasonably well but had to be reset several times.
Dinner in the restaurant was attractively presented and tasty this was really the highlight of our stay.
$10 day for self parking in the empty parking lot was excessive.
Overall the rooms feel a little lower end than the typical doubletree with the exception of the lobby and pool. If I were coming back I would try the Hilton.

We would like to apologize for any short comings on our part that left guest with the impression posted. We are implimenting two changes; one currently and one in 2010. New Speakerman showerheads have been phased in over the last year but not all rooms currently have them. We just ordered our final batch to complete the hotel. These shower heads are amazing. As part of a brand wide upgrade, televisions are being replaced in 2010. They had been scheduled for 2009 but due to the poor economy the implementation has been postponed until 2010 at this point. Currently, the suite occupied offers two 25" televisions. You may find Canadian television in general is more limited than in the USA, there are certain channels which can not be legally shown and guest likely found our Canadian content channels such as French and aboriginal uninviting. Doubletree is part of the Hilton Family and as such follows the standard Hilton Honors program which includes a complimentary cold continental breakfast for Gold and Diamond level members. Guests are given the option of either the continental breakfast or using the dollar value towards a hot breakfast. We apologize if this was not pointed out where listed on the vouchers given.

Just returned from a weekend to see the Falls. This hotel was perfect for our family. Within easy walking distance for all our needs, although for seniors or disabled the walking would have been a significant challenge.

Check in was flawless, and received lots of good info. The room on the 17th floor was terific. The view - spectacular! The beds, soft but comfortable. Loved the fridge and ability to make our own tea throughout our stay. Agree that the air conditioning has something to be desired. (Two of us had to snuggle down into the covers to keep the room cool enough for the two in the other side of the room.)

We had booked the Great Escape package which included full breakfast each morning. Food was tasty and fresh, and our waitress remembered our desire for unsweetened tea and brewed it fresh for us. Our package also included $50 coupon towards a dinner at the in house restaurant which we used for the Thanksgiving dinner special, $29 for adults. Probably wouldn't have eaten here without the special and the coupon as the prices are EXPENSIVE!

Yes, you'll pay $10 to park in their lot, but you'll pay for parking EVERYWHERE in Niagara Falls. But they let you know this up front, and you're allowed to decline it and park elsewhere, but we appreciated the monitored lot on premisis.

A tip, get any early start doing the Great Adventure Pass activities, then walk up to the Skylon Tower and have a late lunch at the buffet. Then walk out the back door of the Skylon Tower where all the tour buses are parked. You'll see a bridge towards your left that leads you almost directly to the Doubletree and then you won't have to walk up that big hill!

Kids loved Clifton Hill, even though its a tacky as can be. Good prices on souvineers, t-shirts and sweatshirts.

All in all, loved this gem of a hotel. Close enough to everything, clean & quiet with a price you just can't beat!
