“Great location for Clifton Hill, wonderful family suite for Americas Best Value Chalet Inn and Suites”
Reviewed August 11, 2009

I think this hotel is listed under a variety of names, the name of the hotel is Americas Best Value Chalet Inn and Suites. We went with a group of 8 people, and booked the family suite, which was actually 2 rooms, 1 room a typical room with 2 queen beds, the other had another 2 queen beds, a couch (that didn't fold out), and a table with chairs, mini fridge and microwave. We also were on the 5th floor, and had a great balcony, were we could see the American Falls. Yes, they were far away and next to the Travelodge sign, but we could seem them from our room! There was a small indoor pool, which was nice for my children, and the small outdoor pool never seemed to be open, but we didn't have the nicest weather. The room was clean. They were very stingy with towels, you had to take your own to the pool, then turn them in at the desk for new ones. I tried to tell the desk that we didn't have enough towels for our group, but he insisted that I was wrong. The desk staff was OK, the women at checkin and checkout were nice, but the men weren't as friendly or willing to give info on the surrounding area. The breakfast that was included was very minimal, mini muffins from a box, some kind of fake juices, and coffee, which was served out of the basement. The proximity to Clifton Hill was right around the corner, as was the Casino Niagara, less than a 5 minute walk. The Falls were much further, which was a bit hard on some of our party. Parking near and around the falls was next to impossible - expensive and always crowded. Parking at the hotel was free. Overall, this location would be ideal for large families.

Not a good experience at all. We booked this hotel because it was a suite with two rooms which could accommodate 2 adults and a 7 and 9 year old. Wi-fi did not work in our room (the clerk said, "oh yeah, it doesn't work in 109.") One of the queen bed mattresses was horrible and I am NOT picky about mattresses. It had some plastic cover over it that was very noisy every time you moved a single muscle and you could feel the springs. I ended sleeping on the sofabed. The room offered no kleenex - which would have been OK had we not been paying 3 star prices. Minimal places to lay suitcases on other than floor. Sheets seemed to be clean but were yellowed from numerous laundering. I would rate this as a one star hotel at 3 star prices. Everything in Canada was so expensive, would have stayed on US side had I known better.

Firstly, the clerk who said "oh yeah, it doesn't work in 109." in regards to the wi-fi, was mistaken, and should have told his superiors so that we could have fixed the problem.
Secondly, the mattress did not have a cover but unfortunately that is simply what the mattress is made of, we had not received any prior complaints about it and did not know there was a problem, we have since changed the mattress.
Had you asked for a box of tissues we would have provided them for you, not many people require them so we give them out on a basis of who asks for them.
The sheets are beige in colour, not white. We get them from a laundry service and they do not use provide sheets so old they are yellow.
We could not help the fact that Niagara Falls is expensive, we provide coupons for whatever we can but some things are beyond outr control.

we decided to stay at this motel based on the positive reviews it received, and we are so glad we did. It is very clean, rooms are nice, and the staff are as freindly and helpful as you will ever find. It is within easy walking distance to all the main attractions, yet after a day of site seeing you can relax in quite, and out of the hustle of crowds. We had a great time and staying here added to our pleasure. You will not find a better motel for the price.

We have been coming back to this hotel for many years. You can't beat the location, quiet, yet close to everything. The prices are reasonable and the staff is always helpful and courteous. It's a great place to stay.

We have stayed here for 20+ years with these fine people and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They are 1 block from the center of the activities. Our little grandson really enjoyed that. They are 1 1/2 blocks from the 1st Casino. We enjoy this casino because it has a great restaurant and the dealers are the friendliest . You are within walking distance of the second casino also. They have two pools an inside pool and an outside pool. Both are really nice. Our rooms are always very nice which is another plus for us.

My boyfriend and I visit Niagara Falls at least once a year and having been staying at Chalet Inn and Suites for several years now. Last year we booked the family suite and brought our children, four of them total, two are his and two are mine and they are all teenagers. Not only was the room huge and plenty big enough to accomodate all six of us, but it had two bedrooms so us parents could keep our sanity! We love the location and the service is outstanding. Lorenzo and his family have always done everything they can to make our stay comfortable and inviting! We would never stay anywhere else!

I took a spontaneous trip to Niagara Falls Memorial Weekend. Most hotels were booked or really expensive for the weekend. I was looking for an adventure so I didn't book a hotel i figure I would find one when I get there. After some searching with no luck I found the Chalet Inn & suites conveniently located a block away from the center of town, and within walking distance to all the falls attractions. My friend and I were approached by the owner, and his daughter who were extremely nice. The owner informed us he still had some rooms available, and he would give us a really nice room, he gave us the nightly rate which was cheaper than any other hotel, Inn, or motel was offering for the weekend. We checked into our room, the room was clean, and the added bonus of a red heart shape jacuzzi:) was great!! I've told everyone I know about Chalet Inn. It's convenient, within walking distance to the falls, casino, attractions, great restaurants and so much more. The rooms are clean, the price is worth every penny. The service was excellent, warm, and friendly, the parking is free, there is an indoor pool. I can go on and on. But enough has been said.
