“Amazing weekend at the falls”
Reviewed January 19, 2009

My boyfriend and I planned a two week vacation, and we started with a weekend in Niagara Falls. The hotel makes you feel like you are so special for just being there. The room was incredibly spacious, and the whirlpool tub was fantastic. It was unseasonably cold when we were visiting, but being able to see the falls really gave us no reason to leave the hotel. The managers reception was fun, and the breakfast each morning overlooked the falls and gave a great variety of food to choose from. Valet parking was great for the chilly weather. The pool area was a bit crowded with kids, but it was still very nice. Needless to say the rest of the two weeks, every other hotel was held to the Embassy suites' standards and fell completely short. I would reccommend this to anyone who wants to stay close to the falls and have a wonderful time!

We stayed here for the second time and got a jr. presidential suite on 39th floor. Love the rooms--living room area with sofabed, table, small fridge and microwave, coffee maker. But the only difference I can recall is the living room is larger in this suite, and the fireplace is there. So if it were just two of us, I'd stick with the whirlpool tub fallsview room for less $.
Shoe shiner! Bathroom had private shower and toilet closet, then sink and tub area. Bedroom lovely with fake fireplace. Unsurpassed view of the falls. We did not get the breakfast package--not sure why our tickets were for breakfast in TGIFriday's which is much different than the one we had last time on the 9th floor. About 10 things to choose from. But it was free, so. . .

I still view this as the best hotel in the Niagara Falls area. Looks like the Hilton is adding on another wing, but its view will be blocked partly by the Casino.

Yes, it's annoying valet parking at $20 is your only option. We called for the car Sunday morning around 10, and went down 10 minutes later and the car was waiting. Also be aware that in the winter many of the local restaurants are closed.

We visited here for a two day trip flying up from New York and it was well worth it. The views from the 37th floor were fantastic. The room/suite was huge as was the whirlpool bath. The windows were floor to ceiling and you could see everything. We had booked a 2 Queen premium fallsview 2 room suite with breakfast and it was everything it said on the advert. The kids enjoyed the pool whilst we went to the manager's reception. My only criticism would be the cost of everything, two pints of the local lager was £10 and the prices in the TGi were inflated too. Still, the rooms were clean, well appointed and large and the breakfast had loads of choice and was really tasty. We sat in the Keg restaurant on the 9th floor with a glorious view of the falls whilst eating it, what more could you ask for.
Niagara Falls on the Canadian side is like Blackpool with out the Chavs, but still lots of neon. There are taxes added on for everything, there were 4 added onto the TGi bill, but different places have have different ways.
Overall this was a really good hotel with fantastic views of the falls and we would go back again.

My husband, daughter (7) and I needed a quick break. We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel with a king-size jacuzzi.

You don't need to pay extra for a higher floor as the falls view rooms have superb views of the U.S and Canadian falls at any level.

We took advantage of the Family Fun package, which included tickets to the IMAX and the Greg Frewin magic theatre. They were excellent attractions. Breakfast was very generous and we had a premium table overlooking the falls.

Note that the Waterpark is a good distance (15 to 20 minute drive) away. It's a lovely waterpark located on Lundy's Lane, but not on the same scale as some of the others in town.

One minor complaint: Parking is not included in the rate and is $20 per night -- VALET PARKING only. At check-out time, there was a surprisingly long wait for the car.

We got a special offer via email advertising some great rates so we took advantage and booked a junior presidential suite. It was wonderful. The view from our 21st floor room was perfect of both the horseshoe falls and american falls. There was even a fireworks display and we could not have had a better view. The room was clean and comfortable, and we loved the two-person tub. We had a fabulous dinner at the Keg. The breakfast was very good and you cannot beat the view, but they had a hard time keeping the buffet stocked due to the volume of people that were eating. We also ate at Vinny's Italian Restaurant just a block from the hotel on our first night and had a surprisingly great dinner. We hope to return someday.

My husband and I chose the Embassy Suites Fallsview Hotel after months of research and chatting to fellow travellers via Trip Advisor, as we wanted to stay at the hotel with the best view of the falls without missing out on quality and luxury. This hotel came highly recommended and we were not dissappointed.
From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. Fast and courtious and always with a smile. I injured my back on the trip from Australia and the hotel went out of their way to organise a wheel chair to be there for me on arrival and to use free of charge during my stay. We were upgraded to a suite on the 42nd floor, which had the most amazing view of not only both the falls but the township and beyond behind us (this suite was on the corner of the building.) We also had a fireplace by the window and a 2 person Spa Bath in the bathroom with louver windows opening into bedroom. (You can not see the falls from the bath tub or from laying on the bed as this floor is too high. You have to stand at your window to see the Horseshoe falls)
Breakfast was buffet style hot and cold food and delicious, and if you are patient you can get a seat by the window and enjoy a view of the falls (if you don't mind being blinded by the sun as it rises over falls.)
Never actually got to see the pool area.
The hotel is directly across from the electric cable cars down to the viewing deck next to Horseshoe Falls but is a fair walk to the other end where you board the Maid of The Mist. (A MUST DO!) The walk is pleasant though with lovely gardens and the view of the falls.
Can not fault this hotel and would certainly recommend this to ALL!!!
Would love to go again.

We were booked for a Fallsview Whirlpool 2-room Suite with breakfast. When we were checking-in, the young lady said that the room wasn't ready. Instead, she added that we could be upgraded to the 30th floor, saying that we could get a better view of the Horseshoe Falls. When we opened the door and walked to the windows, the Minolta Tower was the best view!!! We had to crane our necks like ducks to look at the Horseshoe Falls. Additionally, we were given 2 queen beds instead of the king bed that she promised us at the desk. The next day, we complained about the arrangements, but the girl at the front desk said that we had originally booked a standard room. Then she said that maybe there was a communication barrier. Who are we? We can't speak or understand English? The website is in English, isn't it? The young lady at the front desk was very pushy and impolite, insisting that it was our mistake, not the mistake of the hotel. In order for the hotel to be successful, they should never treat their guests like that. Overall, we like the place, but not the hassles that we were given. We came there to relax, not to be given more stress!!! The breakfast was awesome & so was the manager's reception.

  • Liked — The location.
  • Disliked — The misunderstanding and the attitude of the front desk clerks.
