Owner description: Located in the heart of Niagara Falls on Clifton Hill since 1963, the always growing Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum still holds on to the reputation as Niagara’s best museum. Authentic shrunken heads, the world’s rarest egg and two-headed animals are only the beginning here. Housing an impressive collection of the odd, strange and unbelievable from around the world, the museum showcases over 700 mind boggling exhibits, oddities, curiosities and illusions throughout their extraordinarily themed galleries. Several videos and displays allow for an interactive experience leaving you to decide whether you believe it or not!Take a stroll through what is perhaps the most humorous of cemeteries, containing various gravestones engravings that will make you giggle with disbelief. Among the museum’s strange and unbelievable artifacts is the Niagara Theatre. It is the only one of its kind in Niagara Falls! Guests are invited to sit down, relax and get blown away by the museum’s film showcasing those daredevils brave enough to face the wrath of the falling water, and those who accidentally took a trip over the falls. Plenty of photo-ops are also scattered around the museum from an 18th Century Spanish Public Humiliation Stock to the world’s tallest man’s Chippendale Chair. Kids of all ages (as well as adults!) love to engage themselves in Ripley’s Wacky Explorative Room where they are challenged with various curiosities and interactive displays such as the very popular shadow wall.Spend anywhere from an hour to an entire day exploring the first class entertainment that Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum has to offer. For years, the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum has shocked and amazed tourists from all over the world as well as residents from the Niagara Region. No matter the reason for your visit to Niagara Falls, Ripley’s Believe It or Not should be a “must see” on your itinerary!

“Entertaining but not impressive”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

We came here at the end of a full day, so that might be why I wasn't too into it. A LOT of reading. There was a lot of information and some things that were interesting without having to read too much, but I think kids would get bored here after a while. You have to be here for at least 2 hours to really take in everything. There's a super cool vortex towards the end, with a black ramp that you walk across and a spinning, multicolored cylinder that goes around. It's so trippy! That was my favorite part.

I would come back here again if someone else wanted to, but it wouldn't be my idea. I'd try something else.

“Interesting, but not Bucket List”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

A huge museum filled with oddities. There are actually Ripley's museums in several cities, and I am surprised that there is enough stuff to fill them. If you have seen another one, I might skip this one, but that is just me. Unlike a natural history museum or a science museum, the object is not so much to educate, but to entertain you.

If you are in town for the weekend, have seen the falls, and have run out of things to do, this is a good option, but I would not travel here just to see it. I think that the kids enjoy it more than the adults, who have already seen their share of oddities. Hey...Check who gets elected to public office. LOL
