Having driven from New York we arrived at the Diplomat Inn about 8pm and were greeted warmly by the person on the desk. As we had been travelling all day we asked if the restaurant next door (GooEe's) was open. She promptly phoned to check for us.

Once checked in and dropping off our luggage we ate next door and then returned to our room. A spacious room on the 2nd floor.

No complaints about the room or beds. The room was slightly dated but that does not worry us as long as it's clean and comfortable it had 2 queen sized beds which suited us and our 17 year old granddaughter. . Tea and coffee facilities were available as was TV with free movies.

The hotel was close to amenities (about 15 min walk from Clifton Hill)

Only negative was no lift so had to carry our cases up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

We stayed one night at this inn which is about half mile from the falls and walking distance to Clifton Hill. Casino and many restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking. Staff very curteous and friendly. For the price (125$ tax in for a queen sized-bed and jacuzzi in room on a Saturday night during the wine festival) I only have good words. My only negative comment would be that the mattress was definately not hard enough for me.

Stayed for one night only in transit from Toronto to New York. Hotel was just what was required, clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Good base to experience Niagara & Niagara-on-the Lake. Would recommend it for what it is.

Clean room and friendly staffs. My daughter forgot her Ipod and i gave them a call and right away the lady went to check. After few minutes they called us back they found it. Very nice people and very accommodating. We'll definitely come back again.

Stayed at this hotel last Saturday evening for a girls weekend. The front desk was extremely helpful giving us dining and bar recommendations and telling us to avoid the All you can eat Al Mac's buffet because they charge for everything. The room was really big and clean, the beds were comfortable and there was not much noise coming from outside or other rooms. The price was incredibly reasonable considering the surrounding hotel prices. We asked the Front Desk for an iron and they provided one no problem as well when we locked ourselves out we were given another key. The staff were fantastic! We walked to Clifton Hill, it is very close to the Fallsview Casino and all main attractions. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a cheap and clean place to stay in the Falls.

Enjoyed our two day stay in this reasonably priced hotel. Was within walking distance of all the places we visited, which included the casinos and restaurants. Very helpful staff. Would highly recommend as a cost-efficient, clean, and friendly place to stay at in Niagara Falls!

Room Tip: Angelo suggested a quiet room for us on the second floor.

Don't let the outside of this affordable motel make you nervous. Yes, it is a little worn around the edges and the inside is very basic. The important things are in place. The owner, Angelo, and his staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The room was large, clean and common areas were clean and quiet. There is a frig in the room for keeping snacks and water. The location was near a WEGO stop as well as in easy walking distance to the falls and Clifton Hill.
The only negative I would mention is that there is an overwhelming smell of stale cigarettes in the hallways. Fortunately, it didn't carry in to the room.
