If you are looking for a place to stay with your family or friends, but don't want to stay in a hotel, this place is worth looking at. It has most of the basic needs one could wish for during a vacation. Me and my family rented the house for our christmas getaway and only missed a few things for preparing our christmas dinner. Muriel is a nice lady, who was very accommodating when we met her. The house is very spacious and cozy. some rooms do need some maintenance done, but nothing real urgent. The location of the house is great, as it is only about a 20 minute walk to the Niagara Falls. However, mind you that it is a downhill walk to the Falls and and UPhill walk back!!

I would recommend Stoneleigh Guest House if you are looking for a nice B&B. We brought along our little dog and we stayed in the Garden View Room. It was very convenient as the room had french doors that allowed us to let out out dog into the backyard. The room and bathroom are clean and cozy and in the evening we sat in bed and watched DVDs (there is a mini library there). Although you are free to use the main living room, we found the bedroom just as comfortable.

Muriel is very friendly and welcoming. She makes a great breakfast, warm fresh bread, fruit, omelettes, cereals. What I liked was that we never felt like we didn't have privacy and we could come and go as we pleased.

A wonderful place to rest if you are in the area.

The Stoneleigh was a great experience. I stayed for two nights during peak season and was hesitant at first because it was my first time ever staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Immediately after my arrival my nerves were set at ease. We were happily greeted by Muriel and shown to our Garden View room. It was clean, modern, and everything you would expect from the pictures on her website.

The walk to the falls was about 20 minutes, but the road was right next to the river and lined with many other nice houses (very safe). If you have someone to walk with it is very nice. As far as traffic goes, it was not too heavy and no noise could be heard from indoors. There is also plenty of parking space in the driveway even if all the rooms are booked.

Breakfast was delicious. Coffee, tea, orange juice, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, and homemade bread were all available to us. Muriel is a great cook and a pleasure to talk to. I would strongly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a nice and affordable Bed and Breakfast in Niagara Falls and would definitely return in the future.

Definitely stay away!! We were abandoned by our hostess with no breakfast and even when she first gretted us she was in a mess and looked like she had no idea who we were or what was happening.
All night she sat out on the driveway in her jeep; which, to say the least, really disturbed me!
In the morning while I was calling other hotels and planning our escape, my husband took a short walk and found Redwood. we basically left the place since there was noone there except for the cat and the dog!

The pictures on Stoneleigh's website do not represent the condition the B&B is currently in! This B&B's age is showing and the rooms do not look as nice as the pictures do.

On the day of our arrival, Muriel seemed out of it...kind of like someone who has missed a dose of medication. She opened the door and Annie comes running out to lick us. Some of us aren't fond of dogs and prefer not to be jumped on by these little creatures. We've been in other B&Bs that have pets but they don't allow them into guest rooms. Annie gets to roam freely throughout the rooms.

We were booked for one room and ended up in another room. Bed was nice except there was something sticky on the sheets. Bathroom was small and towels weren't ready for us.

This B&B is situated on a very, very busy street where there's cars going up and down it ALL NIGHT LONG. People mover buses also travel up and down this road and they're very loud. They are not 'just minutes from the falls'...it was a good 20 to 25 minute walk downhill to the Falls...coming home was a good uphill workout.

Breakfast was alright until we found a hair in the bread...not sure if it was Annie's!! Ham and cheese omelette was the main course and the rest were just breads and fruit. I was very ill within an hour and ended up going to the bathroom numerous times at the factory outlets.

We've been to Niagara since and would recommend Hampton Inn on Victoria...good value for your money and breakfast didn't almost kill me :)

Oh..and this B&B was up for sale when we were there....now we know why!

If you are visiting Niagara Falls, and you are looking for somewhere to stay, do yourself a favour and look out Stoneleigh Guest House. Muriel treats you like one of the family, and the breakfast is absolutley great. The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated, and if you are lucky, you may get a river view.We will definatley stop there again on our next visit to see the falls.
