I'll preface this by saying we just got back from two years of living in Sicily.

The chef is Sicilian and you can tell immediately from the menu. No fake "Sicilian pizza" of spicy pepperoni, his "Sicilian pizza" has tuna and capers. Very traditional. All the pizzas are listed with Italian names and are very Italian. If you were expecting Pizza Hut, you will be disappointed. The pizza is what we would consider "Naples style" pizza. Thin crust, but not like a cracker, and quite large. One pizza is enough for two people.

The service is exactly like what you would see in Europe. They mostly leave you alone, don't refill your drinks and you have to request the bill. Annoying to Americans, but very typical for Europe. Just relax and go with the flow and request the bill as your meal comes if you're worried about it.

A few locals I met recommended this hidden location for the authentic pizza

I don't understand how it was supposed to be authentic They have a wide selection and wide prices so makes the place affordable

However the waitress was extremely rude and obviously she doesn't like tourist. You could tell who was local vs who was visiting by her attitude

The food was so so, nothing I would repeat or recommend

Close to the madness but very relaxing atmosphere. Thin crust is crip and tasty. Cheese, sauce and toppings were delicously. Family ranks this in top 5 pizza place every. Quite an accomplishment. Falls were a little less than expected but this pizza made up for any disappointment.

We stumbled upon Il Sorriso while exploring Niagara and couldn't have been more pleased. It is only one block away from the busy crowded streets of Niagara. Most of the restaurants nearby seemed overpriced and more geared towards tourists. Il Sorriso was the opposite. The pizza was fresh and delicious. You can actually see the chef rolling the dough and prepping the pizza in the back. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Niagara Falls, ON.

Nice hidden place for relaxing eats. Owner was nice considering the crowd rush before the fire works. Pizza was good but calzone was better. Skip the cocktails! 32.00 for three basic drinks. Booze is measured about 3/4 ounce .
