Having booked with "Hotels.Com" we were warmly greeted, everything went without an hitch, stayed for nine days.

The room was upgraded at no extra expense, was very clean, room was also cleaned each day to perfection.

Our grandson loved the heated in door pool, which he had to himself most nights.

The chargable breakfast was most disappointing, and could only be discribed as pathetic, so we eat out elswhere at " The Flying Saucer" Lundy Lane.

Staff were most friendly and helpful, and I would stay here again without doubt.

Received 10% discount at end of stay, towards another booking.

overall it was a great value for the money. The staff was very polite and helpful at the hotel. I stayed in the king jaquzzi suite which was well worth the amount I paid. The room was very clean, the air conditioner was quiet and worked like a charm, although it was just me and my boyfriend we could have been joined by at least 2 others comfortably, the room was pretty big. the hotels location was perfect, it was located just two minutes off the QEW, 10 minutes from Clifton Hill & The Falls, and 15 minutes from either casino. not to mention the shopping centers, and food joints near-by. although close I would recomend using mapquest if your not familiar with the area. The photos of the hotel are pretty much exactly what you should exspect with the exception of the pool and the landscaping. the pool is alot smaller than it seems in the pictures. and the landscaping could use a liittle touch up as well. the hotel is alot more on the inside than the outside so dont judge at first sight. the faces bistro located in the main lobby could add a bigger menu as well. but thats coming from a boneless buffalo wings, basket of fries, and a martini kind of lady. the hotel also offered us with a shuttle straight to the fallsview casino for $2.00-one way or $3.50 round trip. although the shuttle was just a full size van which read "The Peninsula Inn" it was a heck of alot better than stressing about where to park and then paying $10.00-$20.00 for parking. if you were more interested in casino niagara there is a free shuttle that runs between the two casinos every half hour as well. being that the hotel stops it's shuttle service at 11:00pm we decided to go with the one way ticket and catch a taxi back, which only ran about $13.00. what more can i say other than i wiil definatly stay at this hotel again and recomend it to family and friends, good luck on your search. -Vonnie!

We stayed for 12 days using the hotel as a base,The discount rate was exception value for money. The Hotel was almost deserted on these dates. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. It was clean and well presented although a mini bar fridge would have been helpful. The gem of the situation was the Faces Bistro but it only opened at the weekend ! The food was first class within a limited menu range, surely more could be done to exploit this potential and get people in during the week.
A car is essential to get from the hotel to the Falls (approx 3miles).Great for motorway access and touring. No traffic noise discernable at this location.
Well recommended.Just what we looking for.
Tips.
For breakfast, try the Flying Saucer diner near the corner Drummond / Lundy Lane intersection nearly everybody else does ! Cheap and cheerful but great value.
The adjacent Mall is like a tomb.

I have no complaints. On the way to our honeymoon destination, my new husband and I stopped at the Peninsula because it is right off the QEW. We had no reservations, and still had no trouble getting a nice room. The room was large and clean - a little musty smelling because my husband requested a smoking room, but that was no big deal. The best thing was when we went down to find something to eat. It was fairly late on a Sunday evening (around 9 or so) and we were surprised to find the bistro open. When we explained that we didn't like anything on the dinner menu (the only thing they were currently serving off of) the woman at the bar was nice enough to check with the chef to see if they could get us something off the appetizer menu. They could, and we went back to our room with the best chicken strips and fries ever! We will definitely stay there again.

Upon checking in we found the desk clerk to be very courteous, and quick. The grounds offer families more than a typical motel as there is a playground on the grounds for the kids and a Gazebo for the adults, not to mention a church also! The pool was really nice and the hot tub although unfortuatley in need of some repair when we stayed was nice also. The room was a good size and very clean. I was also very happy that the cot that I had requested was in our room made-up when we arrived, as this isn't always the case. We found the location great, as its a short driving distance from the falls and Clifton Hill, and also beside a mall which is really handy if your planning on doing any shopping. We will be back!!!
