“The BEST find!”
Reviewed April 3, 2013 via mobile

I came across the Blue line diner courtesy of trip advisor and can't say enough about our experience. Before walking in I joked with my kids, "if this place is awesome I found it. If not, blame dad." Well, I am happily taking the credit for what my sons say was their favorite part of Niagara Falls. The staff was welcoming (a shout out from New Jersey to the best waitress/owner ever!) and the food was fabulous. The experience outside of the food was the cherry on top. Marcelle Dionne was there and shared stories of his career with us,
Took pictures, signed autographs, and was an all around welcoming, kind man. We are headed to the hockey hall of fame tomorrow and can't wait to check it out thanks to him! Amazing from start to finish and the perfect way to start your day!

“Great service, great value, and great food!”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Stopped by The Blue Line during a visit to Niagara Falls after reading the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Needless to say, the buzz did not disappoint. We were promptly greeted by the owner (didn't catch her name) who made sure to give us the lowdown on the restaurant and her recommendations. My wife and I each got the EZ breakfast, which featured eggs, home fries, choice of toast, and choice of meat. We opted for the whole wheat toast and bacon, which both were recommended to us by the owner. She also said the restaurant gets its white and wheat breads every morning from a local bakery. For less than $20, my wife and I both left full and happy after a great breakfast.

The Blue Line features all sorts of hockey memorabilia and is attached to a shop that sells such merchandise by former NHL great Marcel Dionne. The store is a must-see for any hockey fan. If you're looking for a great place for breakfast at a reasonable price, The Blue Line is worth the short drive from the main tourist area in Niagara Falls.

“Awesome All Around Experience”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

This breakfast and lunch joint has it all. We were greeted by a very friendly and personable staff, and were impressed how neat and clean everything was. The food was extremely flavorful and very fairly priced. Very few places value their customers like The Blue Line. Well done.

“Affordable, tasty breakfast and a bit of hockey thrown in”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

We were looking for a more inexpensive alternative to the food at Great Wolf Lodge while we were visiting there. We found it by searching Trip Advisor. The Blue Line is an approximately 10-minute drive from Great Wolf Lodge. It looks and feels like a diner, with the breakfast choices what I would call "standard breakfast fare." I ordered a cheese omelette, with two pieces of thick wheat toast, and breakfast potatoes. It was a generous portion, tasty, and only $6.99. Others in our party (of seven) ordered various other types of omelettes, eggs and bacon, and waffles. Again, portions were generous, and the food was very good and reasonably-priced. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and quick. The diner is owned by hockey great Marcel Dionne's family (one of his daughters was a server) and there are several rooms filled with sports (majority being hockey, as you might expect) memorabilia and souvenirs on display attached to the diner. Most are for sale, while some are only for viewing. We found Marcel Dionne in one of the rooms. He was so friendly and welcoming! He spent about a half hour with us, discussing his career, telling us stories, taking pictures, and signing autographs. He showed us lots of goodies from his hockey days. What a treat for us hockey fans! Although our experience at the restaurant itself would have been enough for me to give this place 5 stars, the visit with Mr. Dionne and trip through his shop were definitely icing on the cake. In case you are American and wondering, the American dollar is readily accepted here. We would definitely recommend The Blue Line and would not hesitate to go here again when we are in the area.

“"Destination Breakfast"”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

How can a breakfast place be a destination? This place has figured it out. Great, friendly service, great food at very reasonable prices AND you likely get to meet a NHL legend. The Niagara Falls area is obviously very "touristy" and we were accustomed to getting overcharged for below-average food. The Blue Line was the opposite. The bonus is the hockey memorabilia shop that is attached to the restaurant. My family of four (two boys) went last Saturday morning at the end of our Niagara Falls trip as we were heading back to New York. This simple breakfast stop became one of the highlights of our trip. The service was so friendly, the food was perfect and we got to meet Marcel Dionne, the owner. Mr. Dionne is a NHL Hall of Fame player and a true legend of the game; he was so, so generous with his time and he even let my boys wear his honorary Stanley Cup ring from the LA Kings. Of course we bought some memorabilia which he signed and even the memorabilia is sold at bargain prices. We simply showed up and we were treated like friends.
