“great view”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

I bought a falls view for three nights and was in 1920 which was an excellent falls view. The hotel worked very well for my wife and I, but we were only in the room to sleep. Yes the room was well worn, but clean. Interestingly, the bathroom had been redone and was very good. The shower is incredibly small though, and any rolls will be touching a wall. The whirlpool tub is incredibly large. Three extremely large people can fit in it and still drain the Niagara river to fill it. The bed was solid and ok, but not great. Also there was a loud noise in the bathroom every morning about 4 am. I thought it was the person showering next door, but it may have been a water pressure pump engaging. (The water pressure was great in the shower.) The staff was aloof but helpful and we never heard a noise in the room except for the 4 am one. I would stay there again, but if the weather is fair or better and you are active walkers, I would consider a cheaper room. Remember this room is for 1. the view 2. the view and 3. the view.

Be sure to book a "Falls view" room to get the best view, we have stayed at several other hotels, but this one has the best views.

The only reasons for 4 starts is that they need some upgrading, still have CRT TV's, the carpets and furnishings are pretty worn, but all in all I found it clean and comfortable.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, even spoke Japanese to a guest.....I was impressed!

We have already booked to come back here in January when we go to Blue Mountain for a ski vacation....

Being from Australia and having a wife partially confined to a wheelchair I specifically booked, and paid for, two 'Falls View' rooms for ourselves and a friend travelling with us. The rooms we were allocated were in fact not the 'falls view' rooms we had paid for but 'trees view' rooms with a trace of falls visible through the trees. The next morning I took this up with a rather pompous desk clerk who appeared to be running things at the reception desk and he said to me, "In a couple of months the leaves won't be there" Great!!.....we had to take an elevator to the fourteenth floor to a public viewing area to see what we had paid for in our rooms. By the number of Asian tourists in the hotel I would say that all the upper floors with unobstructed views are permanently booked by Asian tour operators who manage to keep them fully occupied, and the rest of us mugs have to take what ever is left over. I told this pompous clerk that although technically, he gave us what we paid for in that our rooms faced the general direction of the falls....... practically we got screwed, and I would like to think if he visited our country he would get treated a lot better than he had treated us! These people know exactly what they are offering and It is just plain dishonest to promote and charge for an obstructed view room as a non-obstructed room. Very shabby treatment!!
Would not under any circumstance recommend this hotel. Give it a big miss, there is every possibility that like us, you will be screwed!!!

Room Tip: If you can't find anywhere else to stay and you are considering this hotel make sure that at the...

Selected this hotel on-line while looking for a hotel with a view of the falls. We were on the 11th floor on the falls side and indeed the view was spectacular. We took part in the Gourmet package with free transportation to the restaurant. The location allows you to walk to numerous other restaurant. Desk staff was very helpful.

We selected the Gourmet package and were surprised by the very good value of the package. As well as a standard room with a partial view of the falls (obscured somewhat by leaves on the trees), we received coupons for dinner at Remingtons, breakfast at Applebees, a four winery tour and a coupon for Seneca casino on the US side. Only the tips were extra.

Room Tip: Falls view rooms higher up are the best.

Went to the Falls for my Birthday in September. Stayed one night. Hotel is older and looking a bit dated but they had a great package deal. Room was on the 6th. floor, so we didn't see much of the Falls.Trees should definitely be trimmed back on the other side of the road. The package was great. $129..Got dinner at Remington's (owned by the hotel consortium). they had a shuttle service but we decided to drive..ten mins. & no parking charge. The wait staff brought us both icecream/chocolate desserts and sang for my birthday..Mine had a candle..a lovely moment. The package included a hot breakfast at Applebees' on the property..had to walk a few steps outside. Also had a wine tasting tour for 4 Ontario vineyards, and we received a $50 coupon for the Seneca Casino on the US side. We went and signed up as new members. They gave us cards with $25 each, and another $20 each for new members!! $45 each..We had to use it there.. couldn't cash that it. We were novices..never gamble.Babes in the woods..:-) Ended up winning. $27 for me, and over $70 for my husband! Still haven't spent it.:-)
I would suggest you take passports with you, in case you decide to cross the border. Check online for border crossing times. A great package deal..even included WiFi..( Why do so many hotels irritate travellers by charging for it? aargh..)
We had fun using up all the package coupons..:-) I had a great Birthday with my hubby!

Room Tip: It's worth it, if you wait for a package deal, off season. If you can get a higher room with your...

Fantastic location and view. We specifically paid for a Niagara Falls view, but didn't expect to see what we got. We had thought that we may be able to see the falls if you squashed your face upto the window, but what we actually got was a full picture window with outstanding views of both the Canadian and American falls, the Rainbow bridge and more. Room 1319, best room as far we know separate sitting area when you come in which might suit families as it had another TV. Bedroom area had two large queen beds, a table and two chairs at the picture window and another TV unit. Worth paying the extra. Hotel itself wasn't very environmentally friendly, towels were changed every day rather than let the guest decide. They also took away the soap when it had only been used once! We only stayed two days, but enjoyed ourselves. Parking also available on site.

Room Tip: Room 1319 overlooks the falls.
