We bought a package with casino vouchers worth $100, dinner at Remmingtons worth $80, breakfast both days worth $46,chocolate factory tour worth $5, 4 wine tours and wine tasting worth $50.

This package we bought through jaunt.ca $219.00 It was awesome. We only needed to pay the tax on the room and two nights for parking. What a great deal. Our room was on the fifth floor which was great overlooking the falls. Everything you needed was close by plus they had a shuttle. I was cold and they brought blankets to my room within 5 minutes of asking. Parking was available at $15 a night but a bit annoying not knowing which lot you would be parking in when you got back to the hotel. The beds were a bit saggy but still comfortable. The room a little outdated but very clean and maintained. For a girls weekend away it was great as the border is right there and great shopping in the USA.

Room Tip: Look for a package like we had. Do not take a room on the 4th or 6th floor... the ice machines were...

The room was amazing, we stayed on the 18th floor and had a spectacular view of the falls. The dinner was to die for at Remingtons. The prime rib melted in your mouth. The room was clean and the jacuzzi tub was great and relaxing. King sized bed was very comfortable! Breakfast at Applebee's the next morning was just right. I wish we could have stayed longer. Great value and a great place! We cannot wait to go back!!

I stayed at this hotel last saturday and it was mediocre at BEST. The rooms had a smell to them and the bedding looked really old. Over all the hotel looked dated and run down. The showers in the room actually hurt you due to the water pressure. The ice bucket in our room was broken on the inside and I did not notice. When we had came back to our room it had leaked all over the place. Some friends came to visit our hotel room and the so called management team had knocked on our door to keep it down. Pakring is an additional $15.00 per night. This is hotel is one of the cheaper ones in Niagara Fall with a view of the falls. But I would have rather paid the extra $40.00 to stay somewhere ALOT nicer. The hotel was also semi far from clifton hill and it was about a 10 minute walk to the casino. Overall Great view but not that clean and outdated.

Room Tip: The higher the room the better the view. On the 14th floor there is an observation viewing area.

We bought the Getaway Package which included Queen bed with Jacuzzi, dinner for 2, breakfast for 2, wine tasting at 3 wineries. Our room was $209 which I think was a great deal. Our dinners were valued at $60, breakfast valued at $22, wine tasting valued at $42. We asked for the room with the fireplace and Jacuzzi in the same room as the bed. The room was very nice and loved the fireplace. The hallway going to the room was not very nice but I did not care about that. This room is on the 2nd floor, and I did not care about a view of the falls. This is the 2nd time we have gotten this package and the same room. I would definitely recommend this package for everyone. Hotel is located within walking distance to everything.

We stayed there as a getaway. The place was fantastic! The rooms are clean and well lit and well-heated - a nessecity in winter :-). We took the romance package which was a good deal. The included breaksfast at Applebee's (adjacent but not connected) was very filling. We had an excellent prime rib dinner at Remington's and free transportation to/from the steak house was also excellent. We did not think the room was at al old (though we never put on the TV) The parking fee of $15 per day is a bit much but hen all of the hotels charge for parking and we were parked right under (15 floors down) our room. The maids were great about bringing us towels and we really enjoyed the view from the room. It is especially nice relax while sipping wine watching the light show on the falls.

Room Tip: You dont need to go very high to get an excellent view of the falls

We got a Jaunt deal for the night which was a really great price. The room itself was average, not great, not bad. It was a tad dingy is all. We dealt with 2 front desk staff who weren't the friendliest, but whatever.

As for the Jaunt deal -- the 3 course dinner at Remington's was really great, we loved it. As was the breakfast at Applebee's. Really great to have those included. We did the chocolate factory tour, which was a total waste of time and hardly a "tour." Don't waste your time. We did one of the wine tastings which was nice, but didn't care to do the other 2. We also didn't use our voucher for Seneca casino, but it is valid until the end of the year, so we can use it later.

We got a great deal and it was clean and functional, no real complaints!

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor and we could see the falls, but higher is always better.

Our overall experience at the Oakes was amazing, staff very friendly and efficient. The suite was very clean, the view was awesome......highly recommend it and looking forward to our next stay. Even though the day was very grey, still you get a great view of the Canadian and American Falls. It was magical at night when the lights came on, just took my camera and took a seat at the window and enjoyed the view.
