Nice big room on the 5th floor. Clean. Staff was friendly. About 15 min by foot from the Falls. Just outside the noise of Clifton Hill. Parking the car costs extra, but that is everywhere in Niagara.
Breakfast in the Appleby is standard, you cannot change the options.
Only minus was the the free WiFi did not work during out whole 2 day stay.

The queen suites looked good on paper & were recommended by AAA. However, upon arrival, the rooms were dark, dingy & had ceilings patches from cracks. The window with the air conditioner had a broken seal and visible water was seen between the window panes. The smell of the rooms hit us immediately as we opened the door. Mold and mildew that was horrible. We cancelled reservations (no refund for 2 rooms that night... all we did was walk in the door) and changed to a much nicer hotel.

Room Tip: I would not recommend any room. The queen suites overlooked all the noisy tourists and no view of the Falls.

the location of hotel was nice and employees were friendly, other then that, pretty crappy. we stayed in the old part - it seems that is where everyone was. the carpets are dirty and there was a rubber band from someones braces among other things on the floor - they need to clean the carpets and vaccuum. i got towels at the pool to put down on the carpet. the pool was little. not sure about the hot tub it looked scary. the steps to 2nd floor were scary. the vending area was super small and very hot inside. i read online that they had free breakfast - that didnt happen.
why charge $10 per night for parking - that is a rip off, maybe $10 per stay.

Visited with our granddaughters on summer vacation. Great front desk staff, friendly and helpful. Because we have a handicap permit we were allowed to park right at the front door which is actually the check in area. The rooms are a good size and very clean, although there were a couple of fixes that could be done. The lounge chair had a large tear in it, which didn't affect the comfort but should actually be repaired or replaced. We had a room with a balcony on the 5th floor so after dark we could see all the lights and the very large ferris wheel. We could also see the volcano erupting which our granddaughters thought was pretty amazing. The bathrooms were well equipped and very clean. Our girls are 4 and 6 so they got a big kick out of having a swan made from towels sitting in the middle of the bed upon arrival. This is a very common practice when visiting the Caribbean but it is the first time we have seen it in a local hotel.

Room Tip: Great location at Clifton Hill, no need of a car.

The room was easy to get to and quite accessible for my wife in her wheelchair. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to recommend a wheelchair accessible taxi company. My only negative comment is that the automatic doors were not turned on during our stay. This was not much trouble for us, but it could seriously hamper other travelers. I do recommend this hotel as a good place to stay, and we will stay there whenever back in the area.
