“Tower Rooms need a good cleaning and renovation!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2012

We just stayed in a tower room and was very disappointed, I've stayed at this property many times over the years in the tower and it was new and nice. During this stay the hallways are in rough shape, in need of a coat of paint and a carpet cleaner. Every hotel room door is dirty with grime and is need of a wipe down with cleaner. Found the fleece blanket had stains on it then took it off the bed and the bottom sheet flipped up to expose a red stain on the mattress. On the wall was dried ketchup? dripped down under the desk, looks like it's been there for a while. Hair in the bath tub and stained lamp shade. This is what you call a clean room? During check out I mentioned that the room was in rough shape, she changed the subject and replied that the hallways needed some work. Come on management, take some pride in the rooms. See pictures attached.

Brought some people I support to this hotel for their vacation..Had to almost argue with the front desk over parking for the wheelchair accessible van that we brought. Then had a lengthy discussion with another person at the front desk after their mixup with the rooms that we had booked. If I was by myself, I definitely would have walked out of the hotel at this time, but we were stuck for accomodation after driving 4 hours and having people who need accessible places (which we were ensured this hotel was) Then they made it sound like we were getting a favour done for us once they rebooked a room for us and didn't charge for the change.
The front desk were no help at all, not expecting a concierge to help with the bags, but when they see the efforts and struggles we had to take, they coulda lent a hand.
I was disgusted by the way the hotel handled these accomodations and would NEVER recommend anyone who needs wheelchair accessibility to stay at this hotel. In fact, I personally will never recommend this hotel to anyone (I had stayed there in the past and had no problems which is why I recommended it in the first place) now based on the experience we had there.

Room Tip: The room we had in the main building was noisy due to some partiers beside us...try courtyard..the w...

Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada is a vibrant city always busy all throughout the year mainly because of its main attraction which is the amazing and awesome falls in the whole world, the Niagara Falls. Because we wanted to enjoy the sight of the falls in winter time and because it was winter, we chose to stay overnight though we could always drive back to Toronto, where we live. We stayed in Days Inn Clifton Hill which is a walking distance from the falls and close to some other attractions in the city.

The hotel has a superb location at its price, clean and just right at its price. But at the time we registered at the hotel, we had to wait although it wasn't busy. The receptionists were both busy looking or checking something at the computer and were ignoring our presence by the desk. After a while, somebody attended to us advising that our room wasn't ready and we should come back at 3 Pm which was the check in time. But previous to us, we saw a customer who was able to check in the hotel. We came back after 3 PM but the room wasn't ready yet so we had to wait again. The reservation says free wifi but we were all disappointed when there was no wifi in the room. When we complained, we were told wifi is available in the lobby which is so inconvenient for us to stay as our room was outside the lobby and not in the same building.

The room was extremely cold and most of us weren't able to sleep well. The washroom faucet was dripping and it was waste of water on top of its inconvenience hearing the water drips at night.

The receptionist who checked us out was nice and friendly and we were given free parking spots as an exception. Overall, the stay was fine but it fell short of our expectations.

Room Tip: Prior to booking, call the hotel to confirm where the room assigned is located as it may be outside...

As the title states, you get what you pay for. Our room was located in the courtyard and not the main building. As a result, there was a lot of noise throughout the evening and early hours of the morning. Our power went off and we called the main desk for help. They said they would call the service guy and he would come shortly thereafter. This was at 7pm in the evening, as we were preparing to go out for dinner. We had to wait over an hour for a someone to come and check the room out. Growing impatient, I started to turn on/off all the switches in the breaker and eventually the power to our room came back on after an hour. Other than that, the room was worn down but the location was great (5 minutes away from Casino Niagara.) If I could pay the same or less, I would book again.

We were upgraded to a room overlooking the American Falls. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The receptionist was very nice and even gave us free parking. However, it was in the middle of winter and not very busy, but still a very nice gesture. I would recommend paying the extra during busy season for one of these rooms. We will definitely come back here in the future

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms facing Victoria Street. We did not see the rooms around the back side of the hotel...

we stayed here for the special package offered. we wern't sure if we would like it. But we did the check in was great the pool area nice the rooms were dated but clean we stayed in tower rooms you had to pay parking but a lot of things were within walking distance so it was that made it nice. the room package included dinner at the steak house next door we read mixed reviews but i must say very nice exactly what a steak house should look and feel like a cozy fireplace one of the waitresses even sang and she was great..the food very good you do need reservations or you will not get in. so after reading other reviews that were mixed we we very satisfied with our stay and would go back.

Room Tip: pick a tower room

This is an older hotel which is located very close to the old Casino and Clifton Hill. While that is convenient it also means a lot of street noise especially for anyone on the street side of the hotel, even with the windows closed.

The hotel could use some redecorating and repair. The sink in our room had a large crack across it, the shower curtain was worse for wear and the fan in the bathroom was non functioning.

The hotel does do good deals in the off season, we were able to get dinner at Remingtons, breakfast at the restaurant downstairs in the hotel and 50% off the Greg Frewen show...well worth it in that sense...

Room Tip: Don't pick a street view room, they are very noisy all night long, even in March.
