“NOT COMING THERE AGAIN!”
Reviewed October 9, 2010

When we walked into the room, we noticed that the there was a strong unpleasent smell, so we turned on the washroom vent, but that didn't help too much.
The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the heater in the room was terrible. When we turned it on, it was really loud and it smelled bad, and in an hour the room would be too hot, so we had to turn it off again. The carpets had disgusting spots on them as well. Overall, we were very disappointed and won't be visiting Days Inn again.

Free parking. Slight smell of chlorine in the lobby as the pool is right there upon entering the hotel. Room was spacey and clean. The front entrance light was burnt out and the phone did not work but a quick call from our friend's room next door had someone sent up right away to remedy the issues. Front desk was friendly and suggested places to eat. You're about a $12-$15 cab ride to Clifton Hill, The Falls and all the hoop-la. No in room movies and check out was quick and easy the next morning. No frills but what you'd expect for the price. A good suggestion if money is a concern.

We stayed here for just one night because we were in town for a wedding and didn't want to drive back too late. We really enjoyed our time here and I think a lot of the past reviews were written before the renovations so I would definitely recommend checking it out yourself. All together we had family in three different rooms and all the rooms were perfectly clean.

A few notes about the hotel:

LOCATION: If you were planning to stay right near the falls this isn't the hotel for you. It's a bit of a drive away. It is however right beside the outlet mall and near a few minigolf courses. There are also a few restaurants nearby so it's not that bad. If you have acar it is a pretty easy drive to the falls - the only problem is finding parking on a busy day. Cost us $10 to park.

STAFF: Loved the staff! The two girls who were there when we checked in were very friendly and helpful and check in was very fast. We forgot a toothbrush and they were ver helpful with giving us one of their complimentary brushes. The maid staff was very nice as well. No problems with the staff at all.

ROOM: We stayed in a room with a queen bed and jacuzzi tub. It was clean and fresh and there were no problems. We had a problem with turning on the a/c but that was because we were blind and couldn't find the control panel. A quick call down to front desk solved that problem. The staff were kind enough not to laugh at our stupidity!

OTHER: It is true, there is only one elevator which was a pain in the butt. The pool looked clean (we didn't used it) but it is right in the front so when people come in and out of the hotel they automatically see you. I guess thats not really a bad thing...it was just a little strange. There is a small family games room in the lobby where there are games for the family to play. There was a family in there the day we left and they seemed to be enjoying it, so it was a nice little extra thing to have.

Stayed week of 6/24/10 for 2 nights. First room had a cigarette butt stuffed into the air con unit. They immediately gave us a new room. Clearly not their fault, but the house staff should have noticed this. 2nd room was reasonable. $60 per night is very good for Niagra area. Negotiate the rate. They started at $90. We asked for a quiet room near back. Only issue is buses like to park there. But very little noise from road. Lundy's Lane runs right into the Falls area, but is back from it about 1.5 miles or so. Too far to walk, but an easy car ride and prices much better. Room was clean. No bugs or other noticeable issues. Bathroom ok. Perfectly adequate and good value. Nice ice cream place next door. No breakfast, but they give you a $5 coupon for breakfast in adjoining restaurant. It was ok. Better deals for breakfast elsewhere. Indoor pool appeared clean. Small board gaming room for young kids. Internet in room free and reasonable reception. If you go down Lundy's Lane, take a right on Main Street and keep going until just before it hits Fallsview. There is a vacant restaurant called Happy Wanderer, with a parking lot appears vacant and free and used by locals.

This hotel is a little off the main roads near the falls, but if you are willing to find a hidden gem for a great deal, then try this place.

The service was friendly, the rooms were spacious, and there was a nice indoor pool.

We thought that there was a complimentary breakfast, but instead we were given a voucher for the restaurant next door. That was a bit of a disappointment.

Other than that, I would recommend a stay here to avoid the higher priced hotels that were close the falls. Why look from your window when you could save money and be there in 5 minutes?

I stayed at the Days Inn Lundy's Lane (7280 Lundy's Lane) last year and keep coming back. I put the address because a lot people will post a bad story, and they have posted it under the worng hotel!
I have family that lives in Niagara Falls, so i visit a lot. I have always tried different hotels until I found this hotel.
All the staff are wonderful, and they remember me every time i visit.
I would like to say that I have stayed on every floor and have never came across any type of bug. The roms are also very clean and welcoming.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a nice relaxing vacation, in a really nice hotel. Book you're vacation at the Days Inn Lundy's Lane!

We stayed at this property Columbus Day weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving) for two nights. We chose it based on a good rate; we knew it was located outside of the main tourist area. We checked in and were given a basic room with two double beds. Room appeared clean, furnishings OK, nothing fancy but hit the price point so it is what we expected. No fridge in room, nice flat screen TV. We had read the previous review on Trip Advisor re: bed bugs. We inspected the room, especially the beds, and everything looked OK. Late that evening, we did discover 3 -4 bugs in one of the beds. We couldn't believe it. The bugs were larger and had wings; I don't believe these are what is classified as a bed bug but, whatever, I'm no scientist. We did not see any other evidence of infestation in that particular bed or the other so we keep the bugs wrapped in tissue in a cup until morning and slept in the other bed. Kind of an uncomfortable night to say the least. Early in the morning we stopped at the reception desk with our specimens and spoke to a very nice staff who was just as disturbed by the discovery as we were; she requested time to call her manager and discuss the issue. When we returned from breakfast, arrangements had been made to comp our first night stay and move us to ANOTHER FLOOR (that was important to me for some reason - get farther away from any other potential critters). We were given our choice of an upgraded suite at the same rate we were booked for our basic room. We chose a king suite with a firepalce (fake) and en suite double jacuzzi tub. We checked the room over before moving in; seemed OK but ya never really know. Shout out to the hotel housekeeping staff who were very nice and who worked quickly to prepare the room for us so early in the morning. We enjoyed the suite very much; even had dinner delivered from Swiss Chalet and ate in front of the fire. We used the pool; it was small but nice and clean. Whirlpool in the pool area was out of order; we would have been disappointed by this IF we didn't have a jacuzzi in the room. We were pleased with the service we received in light of the circumstances. Do we recommend the place? Would we stay here again? Jury is out on that one. I wish I could say "yes" based on nice staff and quick repsonse but bugs are bugs and it's pretty creepy that there have been two recent reports. Hopefully, the hotel is looking into this extensively. I'd find it hard to believe that the entire place is invested; that's why we chose to stay but I'm sur eothers would not want to risk it.
