This hotel was nice, but I wouldn't recommend it if your need WiFi. The internet was awful here. We couldn't be on longer than 5 minutes at a time and were lucky if we were able to reconnect. When we called about it they said they would have maintenance reset it. That made it worse. We weren't able to connect at all the rest of our stay.

We've stayed at this HJ many times. It seems to have been updated since our last stay. The parking fee is new to us, and I thought was very costly, especially for a weekday. I can understand keeping the parking lot open for your guests, but the fee should have been refunded at the end of the stay.
While only there for a short stay, we noticed that in the last year or so, the prices around your area are sky rocketing. Also, we ate at Denny's and were shocked at our $38 breakfast bill. $10 for a single waffle and another $5 for sausage and $5 for a glass of orange juice was outrageous. I'm glad my wife just got a special, with coffee.
We come to the Canadian side of the falls almost every year for the last 40+ years, and must say that the cost is becoming prohibitive. At least HJ's prices are still reasonable.
We also liked the quality of the foods in Canada, but even little things are being cut back. It was nice to get real cream with our coffee, but now it is cut. Even the ice cream seems watered down like here in the states. It is something we missed this last stay, and I'm sure it will get more and more expensive to visit Canada in the future.

Basic hotel which charges 10 per cent differential on the US dollar, while other businesses,souvenir shops, and restaurants go dollar for dollar for the customer...No frigi-bar in the room..Must pay 10 dollars a day for an empty refrigerator....Carpets in the floor lobbys look old and worn.....Just a basic hotel, for a basic price..I am sure the consumer can do better by going to one of the many hotels in the surrounding tourist area....Not a bad hotel, just a basic hotel like a Motel 6.....Even the Dennys restaurant on their lot chages a 5 per cent dollar differential...RIdiculous

We are sorry to hear that you had such an issue with the currency exchange - all properties set their exchange differently based on the dollar at the time - sometimes higher sometimes lower. Fridges are available at a premium if guests requires them and we do advise the guest as such. The hotel was just renovated in the last two years including new carpet throughout the rooms and the common areas. We respect that you are entitled to your opinion and wish you well on your future stays.

Asked prior to making reservation and was told breakfast was included, and it was not. Had to pay for parking, and fridge/microwave. Pool and sauna were very nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful

If only I was able to book the online slaes price as the debit visia was unable to hold the room at that price...
Paying a little more, the room was what I expected from hojos. Clean and well set up.
Id recomend staying there again.
Just wish they would get with the times and honour the debit visa cards to hold rooms.

Good family room, though price has gone up and we query its value going forward. There was a fire alarm at 3:30 a.m., which requried about 40 minutes in the lobby without any feedback from staff as to what was going on...
