“Great hotel & breakfast”
Reviewed August 27, 2011

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was in a nice location and short (10 minute) drive to all of the attractions at the Falls. It is easy to find parking near the Falls. The hotel is clean and the staff attentive. The breakfast area is spacious and staffed. There were eggs, hot waffles, juices, fruit, pastries and yogurt. It provided a nice and easy start of our day. We definitely would stay there again.
There is a beautiful area to have lunch with live music near the entrance of "The Maid of the Mist". Doing this boat ride is a must in the area. The Cave of the Winds was also very fun and beautiful. Both were around $15. There is no need to buy a tour bus package. Everything is in the area. There is also a "People Mover" public bus with a handy stop outside the hotel. Another wonderful day trip is to Niagara on the Lake. It is a beautiful 20 minute drive to this area with a ton of wineries. I would suggest the Inniskillin Winery. You can buy cheese plates, oysters, fruit, and glasses of wine and sit outside and enjoy the scenery. They offer a $5 tour that ends with a wine tasting. We felt it was interesting and a great value.
In closing, the Hampton is a super value, clean, and with a nice location. Have fun!

The place was great except for one receptionist whose behavior was unacceptable. She seemed very annoyed whenever I asked for help. When she tried to help she was unfriendly, not once, but three times until I finally talked to the supervisor. She needs extensive "customer service schooling" as she represents the mirror of your hotel. Unfortunately, we were booked for six nights (seemed so long). Fortunately our family was booked in another hotel so we depended on them to ask for help at their hotel for information regarding tours. On the positive side, housekeeping was great and breakfast crew was awesome.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn-North of the Falls on the Canadian side in Niagara Falls. we had stayed there before in 2007 and were very pleased. Once again it was a great choice. Clean, and well kept, and the service was the usual good Hampton standards. This was a good choice for us as it was right on local bus transportation routes which is a plus as it is about 1 mile+ to the center of action in Niagara Falls and 2+ miles to the Falls themselves. It's also well located for attractions north of the Falls like the Aero Car and the Whirlpool Jet Boats. It is also very convenient to the Canada train station - Via Rail - as we took a great train trip to Toronto for the day. Well worth the trip. All in all it was a great trip and Hampton was a great choice.

This is a great location, particularly if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the tourist section. Right across from the river and handy bus service right in front of the hotel. We walked to the tourist section with our children and it was only a 40 min walk along the river so worth walking in one way and then we took the bus back. The service at the hotel was great, the room was very clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Free parking is on-site and plentiful. We were on the 2nd and the pool was right down the fall. The hotel was very quiet, despite being quite full. The free breakfast which is from 6am-10am has a good variety and is kept well stocked, however there often wasn't enough seating and we had to keep taking food up to our room (unless you get down there before 8am). The TV only had a few channels but if you really feel the need to watch TV while on vacation, bring a laptop. Loved that the window could be opened for fresh air if you wanted. Hotel is located right across the street from the White Water Walk attraction . All in all a great hotel in a great location if you want something away from the bright lights and noise of the tourist district yet still close enough to enjoy everything.

If you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, this hotel is for you. The service was great, the room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Free parking is on-site and plentiful. We were on the 3rd floor (Room 314) and it wasn't noisy at all. The breakfast which is from 6am-10am has a good variety and is kept well stocked. We never had a problem finding a place to sit. There's a coffee and juice bar available all day, and cookies in the evening. The cable only had a few channels but if you really feel the need to watch TV while on vacation, bring a laptop. Kids can watch movies or TV shows that way. Loved that the window could be opened for fresh air if you wanted. It's located right across the street from the White Water Walk attraction where you can exchange the eTicket. It's not within walking distance of the falls, but you can catch the People Mover Bus right outside the hotel that will get you everywhere you need to go, including the Tourist Area known as Clifton Hill. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We found out at check-in that although our reservation specifically said "NON SMOKING", the hotel was reluctant to give us a non smoking room. We were told that since the reservation was made through hotels.com, the hotel reserved the right to give us the room that was available. We were given two rooms on the second floor which were STINKY and were told that "there were no other rooms". After arguing for about 20 mins, there was indeed a one NON SMOKING room available and finally got the key! So, if you want a NON SMOKING room, call ahead and request it.

Quite hotel not with in walking distance of falls. however the white water walk is across the street which is a people mover spot. The people mover will get you everywhere you need to go but the last run is at 10pm so this is not a good hotel if you plan to party all night on clifton hill. The breakfast is very good. Nice pool, hot tub and sauna. Room was very clean. Would recomend
