“Reasonably priced comfortable hotel”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

The staff were very friendly and helpful from the conceige desk to the pool cleaning staff. We were put on a high floor as requested. It was a tad noisy on our floor because there were a lot of young men staying there. Pool and Jacuzzi were clean and well kept. Change room was a tad small.

Our room was spacious and clean. Had a partial view of the falls even though the hotel was not located right beside the Falls. There was a mini fridge which was handy for us to put our drinks in since the bottled water did cost $4.50. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel.

Parking was $11 but we asked them to comp it which they did graciously. We were not too hopeful on the free wifi since we read the reviews and everyone were complaining about it. However we were pleasantly surprised that the problem had been fixed and it was working perfectly.

Welcoming staff, huge, clean room and a good night's sleep. Would like to see parking included in the price - $11.00. The one litre bottle of water in the room was priced at $4.50 - what planet are you from guys? Why doesn't someone go to No Frills and purchase some smaller bottles and put a couple in the room? It's called customer service. Had no problem accessing the internet.

We booked two rooms during first week of June and found the rooms larger than expected, very clean and recently upgraded with contemporary furnishings. The king bed was very comfortable. We received a very good rate which did not include any extras such as meal vouchers etc. as we wanted to eat elsewhere. Our view was onto the parking lot and directly down into a huge garbage bin but we weren't there for the view - just a very comfortable room at a very fair price and this place succeeded. The wifi worked fine in our room. I would have preferred not to have to pay the $11 for parking and I do agree with other reviewers who mentioned that it shouldn't be a big deal to put some coffee in the lobby. Not what you would expect from a Marriott. We would definitely return.

Took advantage of the two night package arriving June 3rd.2013. Upgraded to a spa/fireplace room on the 9th floor. We were not there especially to have a room with a view but contrary to a previous review all rooms DO NOT have a view of the Falls. On the 9th we saw the spray but as mentioned if we had wanted a view we would have chosen a different hotel. Package included $40. coupon at the Keg which we used the first night. The Keg at this hotel is very much quieter than the one in the Embassy Suites which suited us fine. Restaurant was quite empty when we entered and shown to a booth. Although we not in any sort of a hurry we waited 10minutes before the waitress came to our table. Her explanation being that's she did not know we were there!! So whose job is it to make the wait staff aware? The person seating the customer or the wait staff whose table it is? Slightly annoying. However from then on no complaint about service or quality of food. After breakfast we went for a walk and on arriving back at the hotel were unable to access our room. Front desk response was the cards had de-magnetized. They were re-done and no further problems. Second morning for breakfast was as different as chalk and cheese from the previous morning. Line up at the door, tables filled with dirty dishes and the poor waitress rushed of her feet. Apparently every Wednesday morning two coach loads of people who have stayed overnight have breakfast. One would think that the management knowing this would employ extra staff on those mornings. Sitting staring at dirty dishes is not nice!
All in all though a satisfactory stay and would probably stay again

Pros: it is Marriott, good bedding, trained friendly staff, clean, close location, the Canadian side, early check in was granted,

Cons: I hate the Courtyard brand, no free coffee in this one, no Marriott breakfast, although I am Platinum Elite member no one offered us food vouchers, or a room upgrade and place was empty the first week in June. Charging $12/night for parking, I thought NY was across the river. The lot was empty too. The view was of a full service US Marriott Hotel that I should of stayed at. The Keg has prime prices with select quality.

...even with using my points I was disappointed in this place, hope it was just the Courtyard jinks.

Room Tip: the view does not matter, you can not see the falls

Very nice hotel, clean, friendly staff, close to nice restaurants. Stayed at the Courtyard Marriott with our lacrosse team beginning of June 2013. On Sunday when leaving for game our Friends discovered their SUV was missing (STOLEN) from the parking lot. There are signs in parking lot to warn not responsible for missing items, there are also camera in parking lot but management said cameras were not on SUV. I believe cameras were just not taping. You do have to pay for parking each night of stay at this hotel with that I would think your cars would be safe. Our friends did get their parking cost back but had to pay for their stay. Plus outdoor pool was not open.

Stayed for one night for weekend getaway. Hotel is near Clifton Hill and a short walk to the Falls. It has good amenities, pool, gym, a "Keg" restaurant. We were offered dinner vouchers for the Keg and breakfast. Parking is readily accessible on the hotel grounds (behind) and near the main attractions. We stayed on the 6th floor, which was great, our room had an open whirlpool bath for two, and a fire place. There are no views of the Falls from this hotel. Our friends stayed on the 1st floor, the rooms looked like basements... do not get a ground floor/first floor room. No fireplace, no whirlpool bathtub.

Room Tip: Stay away from the 1st floor rooms, they feel and look like basements.
