This is a great hotel just to get away to, we useally get a package and have some fun between attractions or hopping on the shuttle to hit the falls view, it is a great location for most things, including the outlet malls that are 5 minutes drive away

We selected this hotel because it is posted as having a view of the falls, well…. it has a view THROUGH THE TREES to the falls. You do get a great view of the steam from the horseshoe point. But it is close enough that in good weather you could walk (approx. 15-20 minutes). Driving is about 3-5. This includes trying to find parking. This is the most outrageous place I have ever seen as far as the price for parking and I parked in garages in Manhattan, NY! $30 CAD for parking at one underground lot, most places charge about $15 CAD.

During check-in the TWO representatives were "slammed" with new guests but they were very nice and took the time to provide details on the hotel as well as to address any questions that we had. I requested a room on the 9th or 10th floor, this worked to our advantage - the view was great! As stated above, DON'T EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO WAKE UP OR FALL ASLEEP TO A GREAT VIEW OF THE FALLS. But you will have a nice view of the lake and the surrounding area. It is pretty so take this into account.

Once in the room we were satisfied with the level of cleanliness. Now the down side.... Does anyone realize that it is 2013 and we should be able to get clear reception on the television? The only stations that did not have any disruption in service were the stations for pay-per-view movies. The broadcasts are fed from Buffalo so you really don't get Canada information, the best way to determine the weather is to open the sliding glass door and stick your head out!

We also seemed to have been in a room that had a bed designed for someone that loves sleeping on a marshmallow-like bed! It was so soft we had to stuff all the pillows under us so that we did not sink in and get stuck!

Also be aware that the pool looked nice but if you see a large group of children during your check in don't unpack your suits because you will have no room to stick your toe in the water. We thought it would be nice to restrict some of the time that the kids have access vs. the adults. I mean, we are the ones that are paying and not everyone has a gaggle of chicks in tow.

The only other negative was the fact that the cleaning team was quite loud in the hall. When we informed them that we did not need to have our room cleaned one day I actually saw one woman dancing in the hall. Eight o’clock in the morning is not the best time for the staff to discuss their plans for the day or what they did the night before when you are in ear shot of vacationing guests.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 9th or 10th floor with a lake view.

We booked a one night stay as we were going to a hockey game in Buffalo. We stayed here a few years ago and were pleasantly surprised by the lobby renovation. We were told the rooms are being done though the one we were in was quite nice. With The Keg attached and short walk to the attractions this has become one of our favourite hotels in Niagara. Every staff we encountered were polite and helpful.

Great hotel! Stay here often (about once per month) and the rooms are spacious with plenty of outlets to plug in my electronics. Within a minute or two walking distance of many attractions and very good restaurants. Bummer though that they charge $11 for parking.

For a one night stay it was a pleasant experience. We got a king size bedroom with whirlpool ( the best way to relax after a long day out ). Nice, clean and modern room. Friendly staff. It was just 5-10 minutes walk away from the Fall and casinos. The fee was reasonable too.

Room Tip: I suggest the king bedrooms with whirlpools. They are great. Particularly when you are back to the h...

I stayed one night on the way to Finger Lakes. It is nicely located and clean. Parking is free. And, even if it was during their renovations, there were no inconveniences. The breakfasts were extensive. The registration and the service at the hotel was flawless. The room was quiet and comfortable. The price was a special deal and I would go back anytime at that price.

Hotel defines well the words accommodating and pleasant. My wife and I were greeted by a friendly staff who did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. Our room was updated to a honeymoon suite at a reasonable fee and it was worth every penny. The keg was recently restored and it is first class – attentive waitresses and bountiful breakfast buffet. If you want Southern hospitality, Canada style: this is it. Dr. & Mrs. Brown – Chattanooga, TN
