“A wonderful hotel experience in Niagara Falls”
Reviewed September 22, 2010

If you are looking for an affordable hotel in Niagara that is CLEAN and FRIENDLY, I would highly reccomend the Hampton Inn by Hilton - At the falls!

I booked this hotel with my girlfriend for our one year anniversary. The hotel and the staff GREATLY exceeded our expectations. For the low price we paid per night, we were expecting only a satisfactory stay... we were pleasently surprised!
The hotel was beautiful and clean. Located only steps from Clifton Hill, and within walking distance to the falls (American falls).
The staff was very friendly and accomodating, even the cleaning lady greeted us in the morning.
The indoor pool and spa were both clean and set at perfect temperatures. The sauna heated up quickly, and the pool area in general was clean (no dirty towels laying around, etc)
The free buffet breakfast was a little busy, but the food was hot and tasty and when something ran out, it was re-filled promptly.
The hotel is right across the street from Perkins Restaurant, and there is another excellent restaurant right next door called the Sandstone Grillhouse, great food!
There are no hidden costs, parking on site is free and not too crowded.
The staff was so nice they even gave us an extra day of parking for free on the day of our departure so we could do some more sight seeing without having to move the car somewhere else.

I have been to some other hotels in Niagara Falls and I honestly have to say, for the price we paid, I think this is one of the better hotels in the region. You will not be dissapointed.

Looking forward to our next say at the Hampton Inn.

Thanks to the hotel staff for making our weekend get-a-way that much more enjoyable.

I stayed at this hotel in both May and September, 2010, and found it to be clean, comfortable, and affordable. The staff are friendly and efficient. The complimentary breakfast was much improved during my second stay, offering a wide assortment of choices. The only downside, is that there is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, but there are several within close walking distance. The Falls are about a 10 minute walk.

Hands-down the best place to eat in Niagara: Portage Bakery (ask for directions). Hot and cold sandwiches (meats sliced to order), Italian deli, largest selection of pastries and sweets I've ever seen. Visa not accepted.

We enjoyed a very peaceful relaxing night at the Hampton Inn. We had no interruptions, there was no noise coming from adjacent rooms, and the hotel staff was outgoing and friendly. The Inn was well withing walking distance to the falls and all other attractions within the area. The hotel even let us remained parked with them for free after checkout. Very nice stay at very reasonable rates.

We would like to thank the staff at the Hampton Inn Niagra Falls. In addition to great service and friendly staff during our stay, I thought I had left my aircard in my room after checking out. I called the hotel and they promplty had someone look for it in the room and called me back promptly to let me know they had not found it. This was just one example of the kind service extended to us during our stay at this hotel, anytime we are in the area we will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn

We just got back from our first trip to Niagra Falls. I had used the trip advisor to help me
decide where to stay in Canada. Well, all I can say is that the positive reviews were
true. We had a jacuzzi room on the sixth floor with a king sized bed worth every penny.
We arrived before 3 and were taken care of by a very friendly staff. The room was even nicer than I expected it to be - great bed and the jacuzzi was heavenly after lots of walking. Close to Clifton hill and right across from Casino Niagra. But the very best thing was the excellant breakfast we truly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed the weekend at the Hampton Inn, so we can catch the fireworks Friday night. There was a promotion on and we attended many family attractions in Niagara Falls. I love that there's free parking at the back of the hotel, very accessible. We left the car there and walked everywhere. We stayed at the Jacuzzi room with a king bed. The room is a bit dated but exceptionally clean, well-equipped and comfortable, especially the bed. The A/C is amazingly quiet at this older property. There is a small pool and hot tub right in the lobby and the kids love it. The breakfast buffet is included and there were many choices for a hot breakfast. The breakfast area gets a little crazy around 9 am so be prepared to bring your food upstairs to the room. Staff are all friendly and polite and kept everything in top shape. We would definitely come back.

I chose the title of my review based on the fact that this hotel is rated #2 in Niagara Falls. This hotel is old, dingy, and decrepit. Everything is worn out and in desperate need of repair. The walls in the hallway were being spackled on Saturday night! When you go away, you want to escape to somewhere not necessarily luxurious - especially when you're on a budget like we are - but you want to go somewhere fresh and inviting. This is clearly not that place. In our room, the ceilings and walls were stained and damaged. The bathroom fixtures where chipped, with paint peeling. There was an overwhelming sense of sadness and despair....along with a strange stale, old smell. It's like the rooms and the hotel were clean - but there was an underlying oldness to it that nothing could clean away. So disappointing. I can't believe how much we were charged for this room; we've staying at 5 star hotels for almost $100 cheaper. No bedbugs, though! Quiet night, too, which was appreciated. Location is excellent. Free parking and wireless internet and hot beverages and newspaper were a plus. Staff are EXTREMELY pleasant and very helpful! I wanted to grab them by the shoulders and yell "why are you working here! it's so depressing"! Next topic: the free breakfast. It's disgusting. If you are the kind of person who cares about food quality, taste, and nutritional value, you will not get any of that in this free breakfast. Some people enjoy eating this kind of food - we're not that kind of a family. There was a make-your-own waffle bar, some disgusting bacon/egg scramble, premade cheese omlettes, sad little hydrogenated fat laden baked goods, weird little discs of sausage, and an assortment of cereals and yogurts along with fresh fruit (the only thing you could eat and not feel guilty about). Super nasty, but I've been to the Falls before, and have yet to find anything but a trashtastic breakfast. Our package came with passes to the waterpark. The kids enjoyed the park and that's why we were there, but Great Wolf Lodge is 100% better, less hectic, more laid out and relaxing. The coupons we received to the "entertainment complex" were for mini golf (old, decrepit), bumper cars (awesome!), a funhouse (couldn't use - it's for toddlers), a Spongebob ride (fun!), a swat team ride (AVOID!), and two rides that were broken. Overall, very disappointing. The dinner buffet at the Sheraton was good, and we were able to charge it to our room and received a $40 coupon, which was good because our bill for two adults and three ten year olds was $170 but the food quality and service were both GREAT! Overall, this hotel should in no way be rated #2 in Niagara Falls. It's really in need of a renovation and I'm sure you can find something ten times nicer for the cost per night.
