“Not quite what we were expecting”

We traveled here a few days after New Year's Day. The staff was friendly and helped us find a room with a great room of the falls. However, this hotel fell short of our expectations in several ways.
- First of all, the indoor pool area was not usable as the water was kept too cold to enjoy in the winter as was the temperature in the pool area. Unfortunately, the hot tub area was kept the exact same temperature as the rest of the pool, so it wasn't even "hot." This was disappointing because the hotel advertised its indoor pool and we were excited to use it.
- The bathtub in the hotel room was supposed to have water jets, but to our disappointment did not work. Furthermore, the bathroom was freezing cold despite our attempts to raise the temperature.
- Although our room had a great view I have a feeling that many of the other rooms do not as most of the rooms' views are blocked by another hotel across the street.
- When we first entered our room we were unable to open the blinds because they were broken. We contacted the front desk and they sent someone up to fix them.
Overall, this hotel would be really nice if the different amenities were actually functioning. I know that we were probably visiting during the cold season but that doesn't mean the hotel should skimp on guest services. This hotel is in a good location and if all the service were working properly this would be great hotel.

Room Tip: Room 440, although not on a very high floor, has a very nice view of Niagara Falls.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. I do sincerely apologize for the problems which you experienced with your stay. In researching your stay I did see that the staff responded quickly to correct the problems with your blind, but still, I do realize it was an inconvenience for you.

Our hotel does not have a hot tub, but rather a whirlpool which shares the common water of our pool. I have discussed your recent stay with our Chief Engineer. I do assure you that he is working diligently on resolving the issues you have noted here in your review.

I do wish to also thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention as it is through our guests feedback that we are able to fine tune our operation.

We do appreciate and value your business and I am confident that on your next visit we would exceed your expectations.

When we arrived at the hotel we were slightly early but the warm, friendly receptionist was incredibly helpful and kind and allowed us to check in early. This is probably the nicest welcome i've ever received when arriving at a hotel.

The room itself was very large, king sized bed was comfy and clean with adjustable soft/hard settings. Bathroom was also large with a walk in shower, my only negative about this would be there was no shower gel, it was just soap provided.

As fo the view - AMAZING!!

The staff here is very friendly and make you feel that no question is too silly to answer. The kids loved the indoor swimming pool. We were there for a hockey weekend and there were kids galore and it didn't faze the staff at all. We had one of their family suites and plan on doing the same thing again this Spring and will be staying with them again. The room had plenty of space for 4 adults and three children with two queen beds and a pullout couch, fridge, microwave, coffee pot. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room was nice, however, next morning my partner had bites all over his legs and stomach. We called hotel when we came home and they denied there were any bugs - but he did not have these bites before we arrived. Not a satisfactory response.
The room was laid out nicely, location fine - but really - bug bites??

I am terribly sorry that you found our response unsatisfactory and would like to take this opportunity to say that we did take your call seriously. We had the entire room thoroughly inspected and found nothing that would have caused what appears to be bites on your partner . I am sure that you can understand how identifying the exact cause of your partners rash and/or bites is extremely difficult once you have left the hotel. As stated by yourself you did not experience any rash and or bites. I am wondering if perhaps it is possible that your partner had a sensitivity to the laundry soap used by the hotel.

I do apologize that we cannot assist you in determining what caused your partners outbreak. I can only assure you that it was not as a result of any bugs in the room you occupied.

We do hope after considering the above we do see you again.

we stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 13th floor, overlooking the falls and was completely renovated. The beds were very comfortable and fresh looking and everything, including the bathroom was very clean. Amenities were the usual, nothing special or extra. The buffet breakfast also was nothing to get exited about, but the servers were friendly, accommodating and efficient. Location is good, but it is a little hike to go down to the falls.

This shuttle service takes you not only to the falls but to other areas of interest as well. Tickets may be purchased directly at the front desk . The ticket provides you with unlimited transportation on the WEGO for a full 48hours.

We discovered stains all over the top sheet and the duvet cover. Completely disgusting which is unfortunate because we were very pleased with the service and the view in the hotel. We got one of the high floor jacuzzi suite hotels which had an amazing view but the lack of cleanliness that we discovered really ruined any romance that the room may have provided.

I do see though that you did enjoy everything else about our hotel, and I would agree, that the marks on your bedding detracted from what would have been an excellent stay. Stayed 2 nights and had the best time! Nice walk to all attractions (30 minutes) and wonderful views along the way. The room was so great! The view was unbelievable. Beds were super comfortable! The jacuzzi room did not disappoint! Breakfast buffet (complimentary for my husbands birthday) was delicious! The staff were very accommodating...needed extra coffee and creamers and it was delivered very quickly. We did not require housekeeping between the 2 nights but we were pleasantly surprised with a bag of fresh towels, toiletries and coffee supplies hanging in the door. It was a fantastic weekend and we will stay again when in Niagara Falls! Thank-you!!!!!!
