“Great view of the falls, easy access to water park, but breakfast not okay”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

Went for Thanksgiving with child. Chose hotel because of view to the falls and easy indoor access to the water park. We had a room with superior view to falls. The room 2QB was spacious, clean and we had a good nights sleep. We went up in the restaurant for breakfast in a on 11th floor with again a great view of the falls. We were very disappointed with the breakfast (20$ for adults and 7$ for a child before taxes). The bread was industrial, croissants chewy and orange juice had never seen an orange. The coffee was thin, the cheese dry in the edges. The fruit was actually ok. Service at this hotel was very good the front desk, bell man and valet parking (30$) good. Be careful when you book for a seemingly low rate, there is taxes, fees worth 17% and a daily resort fee of 9.95$ (our waterpark package priced 259$ ended up in 303$). The resort fee basically gives you the free internet, 2 bottles of water and free US and CA phone calls and WEGO tickets for bus transportation (you have to ask for these as we were not given any and got our free transportation with a wonder pass instead).

Niagara falls well worth seeing, Clifton Hill is awful. Good Italian restaurant to the left on top of Clifton Hill (Antica) and Tim Horton was ok. Went to Niagara on the Lake (beautiful - wish Niagara Falls was that pretty). It is a shame that these great falls are not located there.

Room Tip: If you have superior view room, as for a room located to the right of the building towards the falls...

We stayed here for one night just to tick the falls off the bucket list. We upgraded to a superior falls view room and upon arrival were treated to a friendly welcome by the valet. Entering the reception I was surpised this hotel had the same star rating as the Fairmont Royal York we had stayed in the few nights before in Toronto.

The queue to check in was huge and the electronic check in didn't work properly. We tried to check in at 4pm and the room wasn't ready so we left our bags and awaited a phone call to informs us when it was ready. (It was 5pm in the end).

The room itself was very basic and looked tired and in need of improvement, the one thing that was worth it was falls view from the room, increidbly well insulated so we couldnt hear them but floor to ceiling glass that could be opended up to take in the full nature of the falls!

Without this view the hotel would have been basic and expensive for what it was.

Room Tip: Make sure you pay for the falls view room otherwise there is no point to the expense of the hotel.

We stayed in The Sheraton on The Falls for two nights and could not fault the experience. We had an amazing view of the falls and left the curtains open both nights so we could watch the sunrise over the falls. We didn't have much contact with the staff but those we did were friendly and helpful.

This was a one night stay during a 2 week vacation. We booked a penthouse bi- level suite and we weren't disappointed with either the suite or the promised view.

The valet parking was worth every penny followed by a smooth "early" check in. Time being an issue we threw our bags in and headed off to the Falls attractions - just awesome and has got to be one of my favourites up there with Great Wall of China and Ayres Rock! We were lucky we had pre-booked a attraction package so we didn't have to line up for very long, which was great as we had a one year old in tow!

The hotel itself is well positioned and although we didn't get much time to check things out, there appeared to be everything you would need and more.

The highlight of our stay was being able to watch the firework display from our balcony with a glass of wine and granddaughter in pjs ready for bed - no issues of dragging tired babies around through the crowds.

We sampled the breakfast Buffett and with a window table with a view of the falls. Personally we found the food well cooked, plenty of variety and great service. As my son in law was celebrating his 30th birthday that day it really it gave his day that special factor.

All in all even though it was a whistle stop stay I can't wait to go back and sample everything at leisure. Consider this hotel and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Room Tip: Book a Friday night with a falls view for the laser and fireworks display.

We took advantage of the hotel/waterpark package. Check-in is supposed to be 4pm but we arrived around noon. They checked us in right away. Great start to the day. View of the Falls was amazing from the room on the 9th floor. The only complaint we have are the elevator doors. They close so fast. My 4 year old was first out the door on the 9th floor and before my wife could do anything, the doors closed. The elevator of course went all the way down to the lobby. My wife told the people there was an emergency and she had to get back to the 9th floor right away. Thank God our little girl was still there. The waterpark was fun. The slides were great. The food at the restaurant in the waterpark was terrible. The chicken fingers were like bricks. The other complaint we have is the wading pool. My kids were freezing at times and their lips started to turn purple. Unless you stayed in the water, we all were cold until drying off. I saw many other kids with the same issue. This is probably becasue they have an outdoor pool nearby and so the doors open and close all the time. Well, thats fine for the people wanting to use the outdoor pool, but not for the hundreds of kids using the wading pool. Otherwise, great time.

I actually was not expecting the kind of room I received. This stay was part of the 'Sleep Cheap' Fund Raiser and as such, I thought that the Sheraton would have placed us in a back room, facing the city, etc. However, upon my arrival, I was astonished to see that I had an exceptional view, a room with a fireplace (which was very nice for my husband and myself when the children fell asleep). The room itself was beautifully cleaned-kudos to your housekeeping staff (who were extremely pleasant). We could not have asked for more from a hotel stay.

Room Tip: A room fronting the Falls will be an exceptional viewing experience, specially at night at this time...

Had to stay here for a hockey tournament in early November and although the hotel had many amenities within the resort the actual rooms were terrible! Very dated, aged and needing a reno in a desperate way. The bathroom counter wasn't big enough to put the supplied hairdryer on, kept falling on the floor....there was metal panels in the shower, no fan. Not enough room to have doors on the closet and in fact there wasn't even a closet rod but rather three hangers on a extended rod/hook and the ironing board, extra pillows etc all open to the room, visible at all times. Great view of the falls and the ability to open a window was a plus as we couldn't control the heat/ac and woke up sweating in the night. Beds were comfortable and the service in the lobby bars and amenities were great.
