Sheraton on the Falls
Ranked #6 of 128 Hotels in Niagara Falls

This hotel is in an excellent location but make sure you pay for the Falls View rooms as it is well worth it.

We stayed in room 1063 which had amazing views of both the American and Canadian falls.

Only problem with the hotel is the lifts and the queues for check-in.

We had to wait so long for the lifts each time that it became quite frustrating as the hotel don't like you to use the stairs as they are really only emergency exists and so only used by staff.

There is an excellent swimming pool within the hotel which is shared by other hotels in the area but has lots of slides and shoots etc. We paid for a day pass on our last day not realising that you can request timed tickets which are cheaper so bear this in mind if you are just using the pool to kill time before leaving.

The rooms were clean and spacious the bathroom was nice and had a TV in it which was a nice extra touch. The bath is quite shallow but not the end of the world.

The parking for the hotel is $20 a day so quite reasonable.

Wifi in the room is around $15 a day but you can get 45 minutes of free wifi in the lobby by using the Guest log-in and your surname and room number.

The hotel is located right next to the Falls Avenue street of fun with lots to do, arcades and other attractions such as Ripley's and Guiness Book of Records.

Maid of the Mist doesn't run all year round and was closed when we visited due to ice near their launch area which is understanable but if this is key to your stay, check in advance where possible.

The falls are amazing and you will love your trip and stay at this hotel.

Overall Very Good hote.

Room Tip: 1063 has excellent views of both the falls and is just a nice level ie, not too high but high enough...

Stayed here for spring break... great deal on the hotel with waterpark for two days. The fitness room is spectacular with nautilus, treadmills, weights and more. So spacious and inviting. The hotel is really conveniently located with a walkway to everything. The view was spectacular on the 12th floor toward the falls. The room was spacious with a fridge, fireplace, loveseat and two double beds.

The valet parking was fast and friendly and reasonable at $30 a night. You can self park for $20 and use the walkways. There is a Starbucks in the lobby and several gift shops. The elevators were fast and divided up so you didn't have to wait so long for so many floors.

We really enjoyed our stay and the place was very clean!

Room Tip: Go offseason with a package for best rates.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Very well kept hotel. Friendly staff, nice rooms. Only problem is that it is located in the heart of teh Niagara Falls area and is very expensive. For the budget minde dtraveller, I don't reccomend it, but if you want to splurge for a night, this is teh spot. 5 minute walk to teh Fallsview casino!

Room Tip: Disregard the spa, as I did not go there, but it does not have a N/A cloumn.

This hotel was clean and the staff was polite, but there were none of the small touches that normally come with a higher star rating. The bath products were not great, had to request a bathrobe which took quite a long time to come, and the valet had us park our own car in the small lot, where they then took it from. No pull up service here.
Do not even bother with a manicure or pedicure at the spa, but the massage was good.

Dear TripAdvisor member - thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate and will share your accolades with the team about the cleaniness and polite staff at the Sheraton... shame you didn't try a manicure or pedicure - there's no where else you could treat yourself to one of those services while sitting overlooking the Falls with our floor to ceiling windows on the 14th floor. Look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel on your next visit to Niagara and please take advantage of our one of a kind amenity. thanks Don

Amazing view! We got one of the newly renovated rooms and it was beautiful. Staff is very helpful and nice. Lots of things to do in hotel and in the vicinity; you don't need a rental car! Only issues I had were 1) the hotel was at full capacity and we had to wait very long each time we took the elevator (and the hotel commercials inside were really annoying) 2) The pool was very nice with stunning view of falls but really not kid-friendly (maybe they just want to push you their indoor water park which is quite expensive at $45 pp) there were no stairs - only 1 small ladder, and the shallower part was in the middle, so how are small kids supposed to get there?!!

Room Tip: renovated room

Stayed here for a conference in April. Nice hotel. Decent rooms. Easy access to all of the amenities in the falls avenue resort (Hard Rock, Casino, Waterpark, etc.) Pool was a little bit small and very busy with kids. Adult only swim started a bit late (8 am) but gym facility was very nice. Overall was a good stay.

Very very good hotel compared to other hotels I have stayed in my room was very clean there was a few stains on the curtain that was the only thing wrong with the room beautiful view of the falls, especially At night time when then skylon tower and the casino, etc. were lit up. Do be aware that some rooms do not get a view At all, the waterpark was fun, only one problem, At the same time same day, someone pooped in the wave pool and another person barfed in one of the slides. The Arcade was amazing!!! I can not believe it I won the Jackpot in a crank it game for 500 tickets, then 5 minutes later I won a jackpot for a 1000 tickets on another game!!! I had about 1500 when I cashed it in, not much of a choice for prizes except stuffed birds, I think that part of the reason was that in the Ripley's believe it or not museum a block away on Clifton hill, if you go in and buy tickets for admission the first thing you see is a Chinese statue made out of American dollars, Chinese gamblers believed it was good luck to rub it's belly. One last thing about the arcade, please please please keep an eye out for your children because there are a few homeless/mentally ill people that live in there during the day time. They do not beg you but it is easy to identify them because of their appearance, they will not bother you as long as you leave them alone and do not approach them, oh yes, one last thing there are 2 sheratons make sure that you are in the one near the crowne plaza, otherwise I enjoyed the Sheraton Hotel and will definitely come back soon!!! Visited April 4th 2013, left April 7th 2013.

Room Tip: Make sure to upgrade your room to a falls view. Some rooms do not get a view at all.
