“Awesome Romantic One Nighter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2009

Loved the hotel. Upgraded to a Fallsview Room which is definately worth the money if you are there for romance. View was breathtaking. Rooms were modern, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Beds were divine.

Called Tony in Room Service and he delivered a formal candlelight dinner to our room (not normally an included service).

Hotel is at the end of the hotel street, however, it's walkable to Fallsview Casino and Clifton Street (there is a shuttle you can take if you prefer). Lots of great restaurants, hotels and attractions all around.

Only a couple hicups -- sent to the wrong room (someobdy else's quarters, thank god they weren't there). Parking is a rip off at 20 bucks.

Would still definatley recommend, the good far outweighs the bad, provided you can get a decent deal on your stay ...

What a pertect get-away!!! This trip was short planned, but well enjoyed. The service was great. Only a few guests appeared to being staying at the hotel. (We were thereTues.-Thurs.) The Sheraton was the last hotel on a strip of hotels. This was okay because the hotel location is right in front of the Horseshoe 'Falls! We were on the 14th floor and the view was spectacular!! You are minutes away from all of the tourist attractions. What I liked best about the hotel is that it was clean, it was quiet, and the food was very good! What I least liked was the pool area, not inviting at all!!! The weather was really cold outsid e but ,with an excellent view of the falls from our hotel , staying inside was not an option!! This trip was Great!!!!!

My wife and I spent 2 days here on a quick getaway and got a great rate off of Priceline. With the reduced fare we were on the city side where the view was... well, it wasn't the falls so we payed and extra $40 (Canadian) to upgrade to a Falls side view.
It was worth it. With the weather as cold as it was (and snowing) it was great to be able to just look out the window at the falls. The best part of all was the fact we were on the top floor and the top 3 or 4 floors all have mini balconies where you can out outside and look around. There's not enough room to sit down, but as an avid photographer it was really nice.

Be advised that the place is crawling with families with younger children as the hotel connects to a water park on the top floor of the also connect Crowne Plaza (a step up from our hotel). The falls weren't crowded at all with the winter weather, but there were quite a few people headed to the water park every day.

The places to eat around are quite limited and expensive, so be forewarned. They're not anything to write home about either, but you're there for the falls anyway, right.

I have no problem recommending this hotel, especially since it's right there on the falls, I am glad I got it through priceline though, but if you get a good deal, go for the upgrade.

We stopped over for a night. Unacceptable, all in all. The hotel was unexpectedly worn and outdated if not outrightly dingy, they charged 20 dollars for self parking and whatever for internet, and the restaurant (some 'steak' place) served mediocre food at best. I guess you might be happy if you like 'stuffed mushrooms' and thick gooey soup. Overall, charges added up quickly because nothing was for free with the exception of air. Bottled water in the room ran for 8 per bottle and a baby crib for 10 dollars per night. The breakfast buffet seemed awfully unpalatable for everyone but professional carbohydrate junkies.

Not worth the misleading charges. We ended up paying $270 for one night. Our keys didnt work which led to numerous treks to the front desk. They charge you $20 to park at their hotel! Restauarant was brutal. VERY overpriced and low quality food with almost non-existent service. Also, we had to wait on average 15 minutes to get an elevator. We thought we were paying $170(which still would have been overpriced) but was shocked to see the bill at $270!!! When we raised these issues at the front desk the attiutde of the clerk and the manager was "we've got your money now, there is nothing we can do!!! A lesson well learned. Poor customer service in this economy is a bad combination. They dont know it but I had about 12 rooms booked at that hotel for a conference in a couple months in Niagara Falls . Not any more!! I would feel like an idiot booking guests into this hotel. AS BAD AS IT COULD BE. Our romantic one night getaway was a nightmare.

We got a cityview room for $56 U.S. on Hotwire. Because we've been to the falls several times, we did not need a fallsview room. Having said that, if you are a first-timer, or it's a romantic occasion, spend the extra $$$ for a fallsview room.
Our room was very clean and well-appointed, with a mini-fridge, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board, and a complimentary bottled water and newspaper. The front desk was very friendly. The shower was the only complaint; it alternated between cold and scalding hot, no matter the setting. We mentioned this while checking out, and they apologized and did not charge us for parking!
We were pleased with our experience. This was our second time at the Sheraton Fallsview, and would go again.

Perfect getaway for my wife, 2yr old son, and me! The Waterpark package with AAA auto was worth every penny! I would highly recommend doing the entire package with the food buffets for the convenience of kids. It was well worth it to get a healthy meal for all of us and not fast food. The staff was great and accomodating, the room was immaculate, and the parking garage crew was extremely courteous.

It was great to be able to spend a few days in February dining out, going to the waterpark, going to the Fun/Game Center attached, and many other activities without going outside in the cold snow.

We are already making plans to go back again!
