It is a Marriott hotel. It is on the edge of Niagara Falls. It has great views. The staff is super friendly. The bed is comfortable. The room is clean and big.
The only problem is the elevator. You can wait forever for a ride of elevator downstair. It can take 30 minutes to wait for an elevator. 30 minutes.. how ridiculous is that? I cannot believe that a Marriott hotel can tolerate this. Please do something about it. Do a time and motion study. Re-program the elevator controller. Send a person to control the elevator. Anyway, please do not let your customer down for a single mistake.

Ten years ago we have been in this hotel in a suite as a couple. This summer we have returned with our 9 years old son in the same hotel in the same suite to share our memories with him. We loved it again. We booked again a junior suite which was very comfortable for 3 of us, my son preferred the jacuzzi, me and my husband the view with a glass of rose wine in the living room. We used the room service for breakfast - great - and spent 3 memorable and beautiful days together.
Location is perfect, staff is friendly and helpful, I am sure we will still return. There is also a Spa area, which is not so big but just good for relax after your trip at Niagara.

Room Tip: As high as you can, the view is beautiful.

The Marriott Gateway is located across the street from the NF convention centre and close to Fallsview.
It has a nice view of the falls from the fallsview side. The cityview side looks at the parking garage and convention centre.
Though the property is older (formerly Sheraton Fallsview), it has been maintained and updated with a Starbucks in the lobby and milestones.
Other amenities are lacking, the free wifi is slow and limited to the lobby, and the breakfast is expensive.

We usually stay at Marriotts b/c we are Gold Card Members. On this trip, we had no upgrade, a lousy concierge experience, the elevators can in no way accommodate the number of guests, and the place needs a facelift. While the staff are lovely, there is no way that can make up for the sad state of the rooms, parking area, and general feeling that the place is run down. We had blood on the sheets from previous guests in our room. Not enough towels. A tiny bathroom with no exhaust fan. Just not what we have come to expect. The highlight of the room/hotel was the view of the fireworks on Sunday night. They can be seen from the fall-view rooms or the third floor balcony. The nickle and diming of Gold Card members for the breakfast credits make us eat elsewhere and avoid the restaurants altogether. Would not return.

Room Tip: If you can get the view of the falls, grab it. You'll feel like you sleeping atop these amazing...

Hello WashCaps
I am very sorry to hear that your recent stay here was less than satisfactory. I cannot apologize enough for the experience you had regarding the cleanliness of your room, which is not at all our standards. All of our rooms will undergo a complete renovation in the very near future and we hope you will give us another opportunity to win back your loyalty and for you to enjoy our new modern look & feel. As a Marriott Gold Elite Member you are entitled to a complimentary room upgrade based on availability and complimentary breakfast for you plus 1 guest for the concierge lounge on weekdays, and on weekends for you plus 1 guest for the full buffet. Any additional persons will receive a discount for the breakfast in travelling with the elite member. During weekdays the concierge breakfast can be substituted for the buffet breakfast at a minimal cost, I do apologize if that was not stated to you. Thank you for your kind words regarding our staff. We do appreciate your feedback. Feel free to contact the hotel directly if you would like to discuss your stay further or when planning your next visit. We hope to see you again.
Sincerely,
Charlene

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days and the service is fantastic! We were only going to stay 2 nights but decided to stay an extra 3 because there is so much to do in Niagara Falls. The staff was very accommodating and let us stay in the same room the extra 3 nights! I also recommend having breakfast in the milestone cafe in the hotel. Their breakfast is $19.95 per person. It is all you can eat buffet style! Fresh fruit, bagels, cereals, made to order omelettes, etc. Rooms were neat and clean! Also want to add that being an American, we are spoiled when it comes to hotels. In Canada at this hotel, wi-fi and coffee are not free! But I can not express how happy my wife and I were with this hotel! This was one of our best vacations! Enjoy!

We stayed here for our anniversary and were really impressed by their Jr. Presidential Suite. We had booked a deal online and for the price we paid we sure got a lot. The room was 2 levels with an amazing view of Niagara Falls. Would stay again.

The view from the room is what really makes this hotel worth staying at. We stayed on the 17th floor. The view was absolutely amazing. The beds were really comfortable and room was very clean.
The thing I did not like about this hotel was that somehow I must have missed that it would cost $25 to park your car or $30 for valet. Price of the room was what I expected about $260 for one night in two queen beeds.
Overall I would stay here again. Just a wonderful sight to wake up to.
